[Resolved]  Vodafone India — Wapvilla Ppd Download charges

Hi,

I have been a victim of wapvilla_ppd.Vodafone have charged me 49 RS for
this and more downloads in Sept Bill. I have never downloaded
the application but they are telling it is downloaded by me.
Please help

what is this wapvilla_ppd? I have never downloded it.
I think i should switch to new network if they will charge like this.

I have faced charges Rs 99 for unkown download name i.e. wapvilla_ppd. If i have data usage plan and do download and surf anything through mobile WITHIN LIMIT usage. So, what is this extra category as DOWNLOAD in my bill that it is showing my bill.

Is download categories into different category plan. I have google search for wapvilla_ppd and found this issue recently faced by many people and with same reason.

Please look into this.

Vodafone has charged Rs. 49/- wapvilla_ppd and Rs. 30/- for hello1_tvallsouth_ . I have not downloaded any content/game or activated any service on my mobile.

Even I have got charged for the same wapvilla_ppd49, , hello1_tvallsouth, vuclipindia_pack75, which I am not aware of and even the vodafone executive is not aware of it and the charges are: 49 *2, 99, 75. I have raised a request to vodafone on reversal, let me wait and see if they really care about their customers.

In my case Vodafone customer care is telling me that you have clicked on a paid link in the mid night at 2:01 & 2:02AM. They have no answer for my query 'how many times I have used the services for phone call and data connection in the mid night. After going thru' various complaints of these charges by vodafone to various customers I'm going to discontinue vodafone data services from the next billing cycle.

This is total nonsense.
I am not going pay the vodafone bill and even shifting to Idea.

Yes most of the vodafone customers are affected by this, Being a normal user they are unware of these charges, I have raised a case with technial team in vodafone, but they are not ready to discuss with me on this issue. As my proffession is networking and security.

They are advising us to install some popup blocker in my android mobile.

I'm another sim in Apple Iphone where i have never faced any problem like this in my last 7 years.. but in my new connection in android mobile i have faced this. Not sure whether it is a bug or hacking sites got pushed to all android os mobile.

Vodafone customer care and technical team not ready to talk with me even i was ready to help them.
