[Resolved]  Volkswagen India — new complaints after giving the car for servicing- failure to rectify

Address:East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh

31st October 2014 To M/S M/S Sir, I used to own a Volkswagen(POLO) car, when I was in UK in 1982-85and shipped it across to to India and used it untill 1990.Expecting similar performance and service, I purchased Volkswagen Passat. in 2013 Car was delivered to me at Rajahmundry by a dealer PPS motors in Hyderabad. I sent my car for first 'Service' to the Volkswagen Service Center at Rajahmundry on 15th September 2014. They advised us to come, after receiving a call from them, as they do not have the required Filters and Oil in 'stock'. After one week, there was slight damage to the front bumper of my car. When approached the Service Center, they said, they have to place an order for the bumper. They never called us and after one month, when I contacted, they told me to take the car to the Service Center by ATR cars at Vijayawada. I do not understand why they cannot get the filters and oil even after one month.Accordingly, I sent my car to the Service Center at Vijayawada on 18th October 2014. They carried out the Service and repaired the front bumper as there was no need to replace the bumper. Before taking delivery, my driver noticed, that the Driving Lights are getting switched off, if the Head Lights are switched on. Before the Service and Repairs, Driving Lights used to remain in 'ON', even after the Head Lights are switched on.My driver brought these things to the attention of the Service Center Staff and he was advised to leave the car with them. They delivered the car after 2 days without rectifying the defects. The next day, after starting the Engine, I noticed, in the Dash Board Instrument Cluster, 1. ABS System Error indicator, 2. Parking (Hand Brake on) indicator, 3. Fault in Vehicle Steering indicator, 4. ESP indicator, all the four are remaining 'Lit Up', instead of 'going off' automatically. I contacted Vijayawada Service Center and informed the problem and they advised me to take the car to Rajahmundry Service Center. After taking appointment, I sent the car to Rajahmundry Service Center on 29th October 2014. They checked the car and said that the problem was with the Sensors and they will place an order for replacement. I am not getting any satisfactory reply from your Service Centers at Rajahmundry and Vijayawada. My contention is the problem. with the lights and the display errors in the dash board instrument cluster are new faults after the car was serviced by the servicing centre ar Vijayawada. I am disappointed with this callous Service from Volkswagon. Hence, I am bringing this to your notice, so that prompt action may be taken from your end. Expecting acknowledgement and prompt response from you. Yours truly G V RAMA RAO
