Volkswagen India — VW Polo and Bhasin Motors, South Delhi, worst combination of product and service

Address:New Delhi, Delhi

I bought a Volkwagen Polo (Trendline Petrol), DL3C BM 7053 in May, 2010 from Bhasin Motors, South Ex, New Delhi. I am very dissatisfied with the quality/service of the car. On 17 Feb 2011, I got a warning signal and contacted my service station (Broadway at Faridabad), I was told that they will have to keep the car for 7 days and they need to change the head cylinder. The car had only run 9711 kms by then. The FSO number for the service is: 100296. I was told that the head cylinder has been changed. Second time again in 2013 the similar warning signal starting showing when I gave my car for servicing on 28/09/2013 at Bhasin Motors Sarita Vihar, New Delhi. I was told that the head cylinder needs to be changed again and it will cost me Rs.90, 000.We have never faced such problems in our other cars. I fail to understand how many times does one need to change the head gasket. Nevertheless, the company realized that there is some fault and they paid some amount and I had to pay Rs.22000 for the repairs, and received the car after a long wait of a month, which involved continuous follow-up and what not! I had it back in November 2013. Since the car was back there was a problem of jerks and miss. And, then the similar warning signal started to show. The car moves with a jerk if the fuel tank is even slightly less than half. I have been told that the fuel pump needs to be changed and it will cost me close to Rs.20000. This is really annoying. I think that the car delivered was defective from the very beginning. There are several other problems that I have been facing with this car from day one, such as the driver seat window gets stuck, the bumper of the car is not fit properly (keeps falling), and many more. I would also like to point out here that Bhasin Motors service at Sarita Vihar is the worst one can get! They are not at all serious and professional in their dealings. I had also claimed insurance for my broken side mirror, and without informing or asking me they went ahead and put up a glossy one instead of the matte one which the car originally had. Now there is a mismatch in both my side mirrors, this may be trivial to some, but if I have paid the entire cost then why shouldn't I get what I had asked for!Volkswagen should take responsibility of these problems and bear the complete cost of repair of the fuel pump/head engine. And, repair it in a way so that the problem never occurs again. I look forward for your speedy and positive response. -Sunaina

This is really sad to know that such a big brand is not taking responsibility and providing such a poor quality service in Delhi. I was a big fan of Volkswagen but after reading this I would never want to buy this car. I just hope your grievances get answered soon and all the resolution should be provided. Wish you the best!
