Sir / Madam,
It has come to my knowledge that the energy meter attached to my apartment for recording the electricity consumption is defunct for the last couple of months. Since the gadget is not working, I understand that the quarterly electricity bills that will be charged on my account shall be on an average basis which is likely to be far higher than my actual consumption.
In view of the above, I would hereby request you earnestly to either rectify the existing energy meter or replace it with a new one (preferably, a digital one) and seal it at the earliest.
Your prompt co-operation in this regard will be most welcome.
