Whirlpool India — Door of the refrigerator completely spoiled by the technician & no spare parts available | |||
Highly unsatisfactory & disappointing customer service from Whirlpool customer care Mumbai. I had lodged a complaint (No. MB[protected]; 7th April - 2015) due to issues in the fridge door (double-door- Iceberg; FF358/2007 - 340L). The top hinge of the freezer door was replaced after it came out like a loosely hanging door. Even after replacing the hinge, the cooling in freezer was not proper due to which we called him again. The technician visited our home and in the levy of rectifying the error of cooling, he dismantled the refrigerator and refitted the door (*fridge door) which completely spoiled the door alignment (leaving a huge gap). Since the door is not getting closed, it is completely impossible for us to switch it on as it may damage the compressor. It has been almost 15days since repeated complaints and conversations with different coordinators; we are being told to discard this fridge as no spare parts are available with the company. It is utter nonsense that a big company like Whirlpool would not have spare parts of its manufactured products which are not even 7years old. If the company products go obsolete, it is not a customer's fault to end up paying a hefty amount to buy a complete new fridge, just because of the door hinge not being available (or an equivalent door).
