[Resolved] Whirlpool India — Refrigerator | |||
Dear Sir, My name is KesavaRao D, from Tambaram, Chennai. i have purchased a whirlpool double door refrigerator (Model 12077, 310 L, DLX IBUG CARBON 4S) in 2010 for 20, 500 INR This refrigerator comes with a non removable gasket and now this gasket got damaged(one side has came out from the door fixing ); due to this excessive airflow because of the gap in the door and cooling takes more time and EB bills are running high for me for the past 6 months; i called the customer care and the company representative visited and suggested me to use a rope to tie the refrigerator main door to prevent gap; what sort of remedy is this? after 3 months again i called the customer care and this time one more guy visited and told to go for a main door replacement;he gave me a local chennai whirlpool number to check the availability of the door; when i checked that number, he told he will check with the head office; i only called back after 4 days and to my surprise, he told the door is not available with company and suggested me to go for a an exchange with a local dealer vivek, vasanth & co etc; when i checked with the local dealers, they are offering me a price of 800 to 1000 for exchange saying they will use it as scrap even though it is a well working fridge with 5 yrs; 1. how can a part be not there in whirlpool for a 5 yrs old product? 2.why should i suffer if it is not my mistake? Bought Whirlpool fridge on[protected]. Faced issue after a year. Had a major repair. Now yet again an issue. Never faced such an issue ever earlier. This is clearly a case of low quality product distribution by Whirlpool. I need a replacement or cash back for my fridge. This entire situation is ridiculous and waste of my money and energy and time.
