[Resolved] Yathra.com — Penalty against reservation cancellation | |||
As per yathra mail letter suggests if any tourist can get a lower quotation over their package they pay extra1000rs. Against the cancellation.. However during a Kerala trip conformation we have paid partial amount in advance before we have concluded with the whole round trip, since the airfare likely increases by the next day.. Meanwhile an another travells come up with a50% lower tariff for same hotel S and we have decided to cancel the hotel reservations.. To our utter surprise yathra people were demanding 25000rs. Towards cancellation charges, which is against their mentioning of1000rs. Pay back against a lower quotation.. They have delivered flight tickets only when we paid R's.25000 against cancellation.. This is unfair, unethical and need to be dealt with... Here is their letter.. Dear Sreedhar Ji, Greetings from Yatra.com!!! As discussed, you need to make the complete payment for the flights, along with that for the land package you will be charged 25% cancellation charges. Also, like to inform you that price match is applicable only before confirmation of the booking. We regret to inform you that as per our consideration 25% amount was charged as per standard cancellation policy only .Hence, we are unable to process the refund.
