Yatra.com — Missed flight, no refund or reschedule | |||
We had booked a package tour of Shimla-Manali with Yatra.com from December 24-28, 2014. Our return flight was from Delhi at 8.45 pm, which was a 14 hour drive from Manali. In spite of repeated reminders to our driver to start early at 4.30 am, he arrived only at 6 am. Heavy traffic and fog at Delhi, made us miss our flight as we reached the airport half an hour late. When we contacted a yatra agent, he was both rude and inconsiderate, telling us Yatra wasn't responsible and they won't refund or reschedule our flight and that we have to book a flight by ourselves. The flight ticket rates were extremely high, and he didn't give us any other option. Since the mistake was on yatra's part, it is upto them to accomodate for a reschedule. We were left stranded in Delhi airport, and it caused us a lot of mental trauma and physical strain. We booked a package tour with Yatra, and it is their responsibility to see through their commitment of ensuring our itinerary isn't hampered in any way. Leaving us stranded there without any form of support, for no mistake on our part, isn't what is expected out of yatra. Was this information helpful? | |||
