Zomato — Zomato online order (order no: kewpkq) not delivered and harassed and abused by zomato delivery guy

Hi team,

I had placed an online order with zomato mobile app for restaurant- punch dhaba (Order number: kewpkq) at 7:36 p.M. After an hour, i.E. 8:30 p.M, i tried to reach the delivery guy and he told me that he already delivered it to a person in my building, not even bothered to ring and come to my flat. He told me that he delivered the order to a person he met in my society lift. When i told him how he can give the order to random stranger in my building, he came rushing to my flat after my call. When i tried to enquire him he was clueless and then trying to leave the conversation and go. When i asked him where is my order and scolded him that how he can hand over the order to random people, and that he supposed to hand the order at person's door, that delivery guy abused and left.

I was completely dumbstruck and felt humiliated. Getting abused at our home door by a delivery guy, its indeed a most humiliating experience a person can face.

After many attempts, i finally talked to one of the zomato customer support executive and told her the whole incident about how a delivery guy gave the order to a random stanger in my building, and on top of that humilated me at my doorstep. That zomato executive told me that she will enquire and will surely process my order.

After 5-10 mins, i get a call from that same delivery guy who abused me at my doorstep that he will be bringing my order again. I was amazed that even after hearing the incident, zomato gave my order to same delivery guy who assaulted me at my door step. He just told me that he will brining the order and cancelled the call, after confirming my order.

Within 5 mins, i get a call from zomato executive - mr.Mohit gupta, who tells me that my order is still not placed with the restaurant - punch dhaba and that they will give me my payment back to zomato wallet and then i have to again place the order. The time was 9:30, which is almost 2 hours of the time i placed my order with zomato. I tried to explain him that its so insensitive of him, to just casually tell me to place the order again, and in this whole time, zomato haven't even reordered my food to the restaurant. Mr. Mohit gupta wasted 20 mins time, explaining that zomato is paying for my food and that i don't have to pay anything, since my payment for my non-delivered order is now converted in zomato wallet. Which technically is my money only for which i paid for the food !!!

Out of total mental exhaustion and painful hunger, i asked him to stop this non-sense and requested him to not place an order.

Being abused by a zomato delivery guy, being frustrated by zomato customer executive like mr. Mohit gupta, who was busy explaining me that amount zomato credits in my zomato wallet is zomato money and that i don't have to pay anything, which is very obvious since its my money and not zomato money, since food for which i made the payment was never got delivered to me.

The incident invloves harassment, mental agony and assault through abusing by zomato executive and is a slap on customer face for being an ardent customer and using zomato services.

I believe i deserve to get a proper reply for all the humiliation, agony and pain i have to go through in last few hours and being hungry throughout the evening (Even now i am writing) by relying on the service of zomato.
