I am from Himachal Pradesh. I am located at Pune and been a resident for 6 years. I decided to buy house and checked out online for properties. PropTiger agent (Diggvijay Kawane)reached out to me himsel, came to my office, promising to give best deals. Took my 45 minutes and assured me to give best deal. Finally, he got us Kohinoor property and i set my mind to buy that. I asked Digvijay to get the flat booked in Kohinoor. Being a customer and coming from Middle class, I asked Digvijay to get me discount on this property, to which agent refused saying that "Kohinoor guys dont give discounts". However, he assured that "I will get you a voucher of 25k from PropTiger ". These were his exact words. Trusting on that, we agreed to this offer. Now, after we got set to buy the property, we asked Digvijay to get the offer processed. He said it will be given post agreement process is completed. Soon, office got closed due to covid and it got postponed to June. In june i got my agreement paperwork done, and asked Digvijay for the offer. He again assured to get it done in November once office opens. Now on 28 Nov, when i asked about the update on offer, he has straightforward refused that its a refferal offer and will only be given if i get a reference.
Here i find myself ditched and i am really disappointed by the agent's lie that he had been taking us along with.
First, PropTiger was the one who approached me, not me going after them.
Second, he didnt get me any discount from Kohinoor on the property. What is the use of the agent if he cant do this? He was not at all required as an intermediate. I could have got myself another agent who would have got me better deal out of this property.
Thirdly, making false promises. DONT make fool out of your customers. Digvijay had been lying since start about the offer.
At the end, i had no discount from the Deal.
Having a bad experience for my first house, from the esteemed and renowned company of yours, i would definitely not recommend proptiger to anyone.
P.S . I had reached out to customer support, who said we cannot do anything if agent has not given anything in writing. Sorry, but when Agent approached me for the first time, he had nothing in writing. We also sometimes go with words that are given to us.
