I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and frustration with the services provided by Country Holiday Inn, specifically regarding my membership and booking experiences.
In 2018, I purchased a membership with Country Holiday Inn for which I paid 70000 INR + GST. Additionally, I have paid three times the Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC) as per the terms of the membership agreement.
Initially, the services provided by Country Holiday Inn were satisfactory. However, over time, I have encountered numerous issues with booking accommodations. These issues include being denied bookings for reasons such as site errors, high occupancy, and alleged lateness in booking.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, they offered a deal to extend my membership by two years upon payment of the AMC during the lockdown period. According to the terms communicated to me via email, I was not required to pay any further charges before utilizing six nights against this extended membership. It was explicitly stated that subsequent AMCs would only be applicable after booking all six nights.
Despite adhering to the terms outlined in the agreement, I have faced continuous rejections for booking accommodations over the past two years. Recently, after several failed attempts, I was provided with only two holiday nights in Jim Corbett in September 2023. However, now when I requested to book the remaining four nights for which I have already paid, I was informed that I would need to pay an additional 29000 INR for a two-year AMC.
This demand for additional payment contradicts the terms of the agreement and the promises made at the time of selling the membership. I was assured that I could use any number of holidays by paying the AMC (ONE AMC=6 NIGHTS), and that if I wished to use 12 nights or more in a year, I could pay multiple AMCs within a year.
This sudden change in policy and demand for further payment is unacceptable and amounts to a breach of trust. I have fulfilled my obligations under the agreement, and I expect Country Holiday Inn to honor its commitments.
I hereby request immediate resolution of this matter. I demand that they honor the terms of the membership agreement and fulfill the bookings for which I have already paid. Additionally, they did deactivation of my membership.
I expect a prompt response and resolution to this matter. Failure to address these issues satisfactorily will leave me with no choice but to escalate this matter through legal channels and share my experiences with relevant consumer protection agencies and regulatory bodies.
Please acknowledge receipt of this mail and provide a timeline for resolution.
