I have always been a cheerleader for all Tata brands and so was for Croma as well however I take a step back and swear never ever to go back to Croma for any of my electronic needs as Croma has by far started engaging in incorrect ways of making money. The technicians and vendors involved with Croma for any kind of installation are next to fraudsters as they always end of charging more money from customers in the name of Croma. I purchased a 1 ton Croma AC from Croma store in Ghodbunder road in Thane on April 15th and the same got installed on 23rd April 2023 by a technician named Bindresh Yadav. This technician charged me Rs 8619 for the installation, he charged me Rs 330 per feet for the copper pipes. He did not give me an itemised online bill and submitted a hand written copy of a receipt with total charges showing Rs 8619. I purchased another 2 ton Voltas AC from Croma on May 13th and the same was installed on 23rd May 2023. During the installation of this AC, I was charged Rs 240 per feet for the copper pipes and I also received an itemised online bill from Croma for this installation. The technician Kush Singh and the Croma personnel informed me that the previous technician has cheated me and charged me more money for the copper pipes as the standard rates for the pipes are around 240 Rs. I reported this issue to Croma grievance and after a few investigation days, Gulabshah from Grievance team called me just now informing whatever has been mentioned in the handwritten bill are the standard charges and the difference in cost is due to the difference in the brand of AC. If thats the case, how come for Voltas AC I was able to get an online itemised bill however Croma being an inhouse product I received a handwritten bill? Also dont think the charges of the copper pipe can differ by Rs 90 per feet for different brands. I dont think grievance has any answers for these as its certain that they are just trying to justify what the fraudulent technician has done. The technicians are confident to receive Croma support in this case as when I had called the previous technician to say I will be complaining for this, he said " han kar dijiye complain", so this is the audacity of these people and Croma just supports this kind of people and attitude. So obviously from my end I have decided not to go back to Croma for anything. From this post I just want to make customers aware that you need to verify these charges that the technicians are quoting when they come for installation and never accept a hand written bill. If someone or some brand is persistent with giving a handwritten bill instead of an online itemised one, its certain that he has his cut there and trying to rob you over and above the brand. Please be careful with any kind of electronic purchase with Croma. And the worst past, after the product is sold, Croma customer support, Grievance, Nodal noone will help you or I must that they do not want to help as to give you a satisfactory resolution they will have change their entire faulty supply chain mechanism, vendor support too so they do not want to do that so in case customers are always at the suffering end.
