I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and frustration with the recent billing and service provided by Gujarat Gas. My consumer details are as follows:

On 10/03/2024, I received a gas bill amounting to Rs. 7972, which is significantly higher than expected. Upon investigating the matter, it was discovered that the gas meter for the first floor and ground floor had been separated, a service for which I had paid. However, it was found that the employee responsible for the task had improperly fitted the valve, leading to inaccuracies in the billing.
I promptly raised a complaint with the reference ID[protected], expecting a resolution to the issue. However, the response I received was unsatisfactory. Gujarat Gas stated that I am liable to pay the billed amount despite acknowledging the mistake in fitting the valve. This response is unacceptable as it fails to address the root cause of the inflated bill.
Furthermore, upon reviewing my billing history, it is evident that this current bill is approximately four times higher than previous bills for similar periods. Despite bringing this discrepancy to Gujarat Gas's attention, there has been no effort made to rectify the situation or provide a fair resolution.
It is appalling to see Gujarat Gas prioritizing profit over customer satisfaction and fair service. It is evident that their employees have conducted subpar work, resulting in financial losses for me as a consumer. I refuse to accept such negligent behavior and demand a refund of the unjustly billed amount of Rs. 7972.
I urge Gujarat Gas to take immediate action to rectify this situation and provide compensation for the inconvenience caused. Failure to do so will compel me to escalate this matter further through relevant consumer rights channels and regulatory bodies.
I expect a prompt response and resolution to this matter.
