I bought a bookshelf on 8th of December, 2022 from Pepperfry with a one year warranty that very explicitly covered for infestation and boring by termites within that one year.
Even on their app and website, you are given the option to select Infestation/Boring when filing a request for return within the warranty period.
Now, that's what happened with my bookshelf within 5 months itself. It's infested and it's ruined along with a dozen books I had kept on it.
But now Pepperfry is refusing to help citing that this may have happened due to seasonal change. Of course there's seasonal change, we are living on Earth! The warranty is supposed to cover for seasonal changes within a year. Pepperfry are telling me merchant has refused to help so we can't help.
But I purchased this from Pepperfry and I received the warranty from Pepperfry. And now they are straight up cheating me.
I even offered them to visit and inspect my site if they feel the conditions at my place may have caused it. But they are even refusing that. They are straight up telling me, "we cannot honor the warranty because merchant refused, " Was this information helpful? |
