[Resolved]  7 UP — Cannot participate in Project 7 promotion without going on facebook, which I hate.

I bought 7 Up at a dollar store in east Waco, Texas, and saw the information for Project 7. This is a deal where you enter a code from the bottlecap and then choose some charitable cause to which the 7 Up company will donate money.I went to the website and entered my code, which was 9Q7KQEATAO4F. I had chosen housing for the homeless as the cause I wanted to support. However, there was no way for me to submit my code. I would have had to sign up with Facebook or twitter in order to participate in what would otherwise be a worthy cause. I value my privacy and do not care to get on a social media site where my information can be dispersed to the whole world. It is none of anyone's business that I drank a 7Up! There was no option for participating and helping out a charity just by getting on the library's computer and sending it in via regular cloud email. I had kept the 7Up bottle in my car several days just until I could go to the library and help the charity, so I feel very, very cheated that I did not get to do so. I have no idea why these stupid corporations think everyone wants to jump on twitter, Facebook, my space or other social media sites and advertise for their product -- but such is NOT the case!!! I hope someone reading this will enter my code on their website for the homeless charity, and hopefully the running this promotion will make the necessary corrections so that people will not be forced to either sign up for some kind of sucky social media program or not support the charity. I am furious that this happened! But don't worry, next time I will be sure to purchase a Sprite.
