Aakash International packers and movers — Non-delivery of international consignment

Address:110088
Website:www.aakashinternational.com

On 1/02/2016 we handed over 13 cartons of household goods to the above couriers in Bangalore for transporting them by air cargo to Melbourne, Australia. As we were expected to move to Melbourne in early March 2016 we requested them to hold the consignment till 10/03/2016 and then send it to our address in Melbourne. We paid Rs.1, 24, 450.00 to them by bank transfer for the service. They agreed to keep the consignment in their warehouse till March 10th at no extra cost and told us that it would arrive within 10 days, i.e., before March 20th. It has not arrived till date and we have received no information from the courier as to the whereabouts of the consignment. We rang Mr. Sunil Sharma, manager in Bangalore (Mob. [protected]) about this and he told us to ring Mr. Anil Sharma (Mob. [protected]) who is in charge of our consignment which is in their warehouse in Mumbai. Whenever we ring Mr. Anil Sharma he says he needs time to find out and would get back to us with the details. But he never returns our calls. We have given him all our contact details but till today he has not even sent an email telling us what the status of our consignment is!

What is most distressing is the fact that the manager Mr. Anil Sharma refuses to answer our calls to find out what has happened to our consignment. Even when we manage (after many trials) to contact Mr. Anil Sharma he says he needs time to find out and promises to get back but never does! He has our contact details and does not show even the basic courtesy of letting us know what the status of our 13 cartons of goods is, where they are and when they are likely to arrive. He is very discourteous on the phone simply puts down the phone when we complain about the delay.

We want the following action from the company:

1. Let us know ASAP what the status of our consignment of 13 cartons of household goods is. Has the company lost track of them? If so let us know immediately and start processing the insurance claim.

2. If the consignment is still in their custody, let us know what is causing the delay in delivery and what action is being taken to expedite it.

3. If the consignment is being delayed for some reason, keep us informed on a daily basis the tracking information of the consignment or send us the necessary information to allow us to track its progress.

4. Respond promptly and completely to our queries regarding the consignment.
