Air India — Inconvenience faced at Chandigarh Airport due to which I missed my flight and unacceptable behaviour of Airlines staff.

I am writing this complaint on the behalf of inconvenience faced by Air India airlines. I booked my flight from Chandigarh to Kullu on 7th October 2021 at 8:10 am.
I reached airport at 7am in the morning and first step was bag screening after entering airport. The CSIF officer checked my ticket and told me to wait at F counter. Since I am 16 weeks pregnant and due to my medical conditions I couldn’t roam unnecessarily. I followed his instructions and kept my eye on F counter. The counter was closed since morning and when it was too late, I got curious and enquired to Airport staff member about my flight and he told me to check with some other counter. It was 7:40 am when I found out right counter. I gave my ticket to Air India Airline representative staff at counter and the girl started giving me explanations that I was too late for the flight. When I explained her my whole situation that I was misguided by CISF officer, she wasted my time by giving explanations that they don’t have anything to do with them. On my further request, she informed the manager sitting on the next steps, he told me straight away that they can’t help me. When it was nearly 7:58 am they told me they could have allowed me to travel with them if I didn’t have any luggage with me. I asked them for the possible help to send my luggage on next flight within a week or so and they wasted the whole time in the arguments. They told me I could have left the luggage at airport and my family can collect it later on and they do give any guarantees for my luggage if stolen or misplaced and at the same time I could have travel with them. Since I came from Yamunanagar, Haryana my family left after dropping me at airport. I had no one to take care of my luggage at that time. And in the next statement, they told me the flight has gone.

I’m disheartened with the behaviour of Air India Airlines and the way their staff handled me. It’s a big shame for this airlines that cannot help a person in need and no fault of their own.

On further discussion, I asked the CISF officer to come forward and admit his mistake and he requested the manager for helping me out. But this heartless person told me “Mam for your 6000 rupees loss we will not be going to take 60, 000 rupees penalty. Helping you can take someone’s job! “

He completely denied for any help. I asked him to book me for next day or any possible day in a week. But they were just denying everything. They didn’t left me with any options.

I request Air India Airlines to help me out of this situation. I request for the complete refund of the ticket and details of which are enclosed below. For more details, you can also refer to security cameras at Mohali International Airport.

I have been calling customer service since last 8 days and haven’t received any help and solution on the behalf of Airlines.
