I Paresh Marathe had booked my return Air India ticket from Mumbai to aAbu Dhabi and back via Air India app on my mobile. Iwas supposed to board AI945 on 30/04/18 and return back by AI 946 on 07/05/18.My Booking Reference was JVQ5C and my ticket no was[protected].
I reported well in time to CST-T2fro my check in to Air India counter. But to my dismay i was told that I would not be able to board the said flight because my passport was expiring on /06/18,
since three months was the minimum stipulated time for travel.
Also I had a valid e visa which was issued by the UAE goverment on the same expiry of the passport.
I find it utterly astonishing that if the guidelines of three months( as told to me ) are given, then why the ticket was issued at the time of booking.Since at the time of booking the ticket passport expiry date is asked for.
Also when a valid visa is issued on the same expiry how was i denied check in?
I was forced to cancel my ticket subsequently due to the situation I faced. Also in the process of cancellation I was told that a part of amount amounting to 5000/- would be deducted.
I would like to request you to a full refund is given to me without any deduction as I was not allowed to travel against a vvalid visa. Attached herewith are ticket and my visa for your ready reference.
Kindly do the needful at the earliest.
