Air Mauritius — urgent attention - grievance

Sir/madam,

1) our family of four comprising of i) mrs. Preeti bharat chaudhari, ii) miss maithili bharat chaudhari iii) mr. Bharat ramanlal chaudhari & iv) mr. Aunsh bharat chaudhari who are all residents of mumbai, was booked on air mauritius flight no. Mk 744 e from mauritius to delhi, scheduled for departure at 9:15 p. M. On 01st january, 2018. The scheduled arrival time at delhi was 6:15 a. M. On 02nd january, 2018. We were booked on air india flight no. Ai 678 g from delhi to mumbai, scheduled for departure at 9:00 a. M. On 02nd january, 2018 with scheduled arrival time at mumbai at 11:10 a. M. On 02nd january, 2018. We reached mauritius airport at 6:00 p. M. On 01st january, 2018 and were informed by staff at the airport that our said flight mk 744 e from mauritius to delhi was delayed and was expected to leave only at 12:45 a. M. On 02nd january, 2018. The reason given was “due to fog at delhi airport.”

2) on landing at delhi airport at about 9:45 a. M. On 02nd january 2018, the ordeal/nightmare that we went through has constrained us not to be moot spectators or passive bystanders. The brief account of the complaints from all four o[censored]s is given herein below :-

(A) incorrect, misleading and misguiding representation made by lady staff member at the ticketing counter and thereafter by lady supervisor at counter no. 22 of mauritius airport in the night of 01st january 2018 regarding inability of air mauritius to put us on any other airlines at the earliest, after landing at delhi airport, in light of air mauritius acceding to the demand of our co-traveller mr. Moneesh chakravarty, who was put on board of 2:00 p. M. Flight of jet airways flying to mumbai.

(B) misrepresentation by the same lady staff member at the ticketing counter of mauritius airport that we have confirmed seats from delhi to mumbai on air india flight no. Ai 678 g with scheduled departure at 1:00 p. M. From delhi airport, in as much as, on reaching the check in counter of air india (After standing in queue for more than 45 minutes), to our great shock and surprise, we were informed that our names were not found in the system.

(C) interse disputes and differences (Which we were privy to), between air mauritius team and air india team lasting for more than two hours, resulting into all o[censored]s missing the said flight no. Ai 678 g flying to mumbai with scheduled departure at 1:00 p. M. On 02nd january 2018. We were ultimately put on board of flight no. Ai 102, which left from delhi airport at about 5 p. M. And landed at mumbai air port at about 7.15 p. M.

The inconvenience, hardship, humiliation, mental torture/stress suffered at delhi airport during the period of 11:00 a. M. And 3:30 p. M. By all four o[censored]s and the monetary loss and damage suffered by miss maithili chaudhari and mr. Bharat chaudhari due to failure in compliance of their respective professional commitments on 2nd january 2018 in mumbai, is altogether quantified at rs. 10, 00, 000/- (Rupees ten lakhs), which we hereby call upon you (Both the esteemed airlines) to pay to us jointly or severally (Since you both work on code. Sharing basis), within two weeks of receipt of this e-mail by you. Needless to say that in the event of your failure to do the needful, will compel us to take further necessary steps in the matter as may be advised.
