Airtel — 7000 sms charged in 8 hours | |||
Sr no. 86907792 I have 02 postpaid mobile nos. Of airtel, Both the handsets are used by me. On fateful day of 08th july 2018 around 12.15 pm, i lost my mobile having one of the sim. Request to block the sim was given around 12.40 pm. Subsequently i applied for new sim and new sim was operational by 10th july 2018 and sms service on it was started on 11th july 2018. It seems that i had mobile had tracking function on and alternate no was stored so that once new sim is inserted in lost hand sent, sms will be sent to it with new users no. It seems that this functionality not worked well and it has assumed my blocking of no as trigger point to send sms across. As per record, 3673 sms were sent (From 01.42 pm to 10.32 pm) to other nos. @ 01 sms every 08 sec. Similar way 3672 message (From 2.48 pm to 10.23 pm) were sent to cug @ 01 sms every 08 sec. It continued till 11th july till no was dead and stopped once it was made operational. It seems software glitch and lead to undue charges to me. Total charge of rs. 7245 of sms... I am a regular customer of airtel from a long time but from few days my internet is not working properly. Please sort out this problem as soon as possible other wise I will port out from airtel.
