I am an Airtel MP Chhattisgarh. I pursuing my law degree from Raipur and since last 3 months I have been on roaming. On roaming I use to get my number recharged with Rs. 50 SMS pack and thereby avail 400 SMS. The charges were deducted according to roaming tariffs directly from my A2M SMS account.

On 30th June I got another such recharge done. My A2M account shows 400 bal. Yet when I am sending SMSs the charge is being deducted from my main account balance. I tried calling the customer care number but to no avail. Then I mailed to the customer care people. They guaranteed that the problem will be solved in 2 days, but its 1 week today and yet the problem continues.

Kindly take necessary actions.

Airtel — unwarranted deduction of charges

For the last 3 weeks AIRTEL has been deducting Rs 5/- per day from my prepaid balance towards "STOP MOSQUITO SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE" for which I have never subscribed in the 1st place. Despite several attempts through various dealers, to stop this nuisance, I have already lost about Rs 125/- and am still losing money. Please help me by stopping this unwarranted deduction and nuisance and by letting me know how I can get the amount re-credited to my account.

    WITHOUT INFORMING TO THE CUSTOMER THEY HAVE DISCONNECTED THE MOBILE OUT GOING AS WELL AS INCOMING AND BECAUSE OF THIS SO MANY PROBLEM HAS BEEN ARISES IN MY FAMILY.

      i have contact customer care about range problem on 7 june 2009 they have told me that your problem is solved within 7 days and give me a complaint number[protected], i wait 7 days but my problem still remains then i contact airtel customer care and ask about my problem they says your problem is solved by our side but i am still facing the problem, now i am contacting airtel customer care every 2 days every time they says your problem is solved in 24 hours, but my problem still remains. one day i am very tired and again contacted airtel customer care and says i want to talk to your team leader then one guy named Mr. Mausin Pathan talk with me and says that i will personally take care of your complaint and says me to wait up to 8 july 2009 after that if your again face this problem then take any action from your side so finally i am very very tired and complaint here. hoping there is anybody to help me.

        Perdon my expression in the subject line. But that is 100% true. Here's why ...

        I got AIRTEL service connected 2 weeks back, Prepaid. Having a Blackberry, I wanted to use emails and SMS. Hence when I asked the guy in the counter, he provided me with the Rs. 498/- internet service package. That was the only package provided in the flyer he showed me which is something to do with internet. The person in the counter told me that this is the package service I have to buy to get emails and SMS. I was also told it would take 2 days (48 hours) to activate this package. 4-5 days passed and nothing happens. I talked to the customer service at Airtel (phone). They took a day to find out that I have to visit a local Airtel office to setup my Blackberry enabling emails and SMS. I went to the Local Blackberry Airtel service counter and below is the conversation ..

        Purba - Can you please setup my Blackberry to get SMS and Email?

        Service Rep - What service you bought?

        Purba - Internet Package Rs. 498/-

        Service Rep - Did you buy Blackberry Service Also?

        Purba - I was not told, Ok I am ready to buy, will that help me to use Rs. 498/-?

        Service Rep - No, it will not because Blackberry Service cannot use Prepaid Amounts.

        Purba - then what happens to that Rs.498/- I already paid?

        Service Rep - I am extremely SORRY mam, its GONE !!! You should have got the connection from us. Why do not you buy a new handset from us?

        Purba - what do you mean? How do I know I have to buy the blackberry service from a specfic counter at kolkata? Is this the way you handle customer?

        *** NO ANSWER ****

        I then called the customer service at Airtel again, but heard only one statement ... " The money is already with the SIM, we cannot HELP, SORRY ..."

        SO BEWARE WHEN YOU BUY ANYTHING FROM AIRTEL

        I am a NRI, and I will also make sure all NRI gets this message.

        Airtel and all other sucks. Only thing which works in this country is BSNL.
        Great service at very low price. Although the service is slow and requires a lot of paperwork but if you are ready to through through the initial hell, its a breeze and worth it.

        Even works in Pakka Sarna, Rajasthan.

        I recommend BSNL for every NRI.
        airtel has blackberry prepaid option of 299, u need not buy the 498 package as the people in local shops do not know about blackberry at all...
        u can try searching for airtel blackberry plan from airtel website searching 9on net.
        currentkly the prepaid blackberry plan for email and chat is down... i use an unlocked version of blackberry 8300 of vodafone with airtel prepaiud account.

        i did use the email and chat plan for 1 month, when i spoke to customer service, i was toild that there are server issues ..ccounts getting the personal email, chat plan ffor blackberry...

        airtel does not sell email abnd chat plans for blackberry prepaid in open market.
        You mention that you have a blackberry - if so, how come you were not aware that the Blackberry Services It is the shop owner, who has taken for you for a Royal Ride.Agreed that Airtel service sucks in many parts. But in this instance you only have yourself to blame. Do take it up with the shop owner, and next time do take time to do some research ( you have the time to type a complaint - u can use that time to read up on the internet too :) )

        Yes, Airtel is cheating and I am experiencing trauma w whatever services I am choosing from it.First landline trauma and now this blackberry trauma..They still have some issues w Airtel Prepaid activation w blackberry and no ETA is there..They should have stopped taking new activations if they know there server is having problems.Yesterday only I subscribed 899 unlimited plan and the situation is same..They are saying we are not aware of timing when this problem will get resolved.1000s of customer on prepaid plan are stuck and cannot use the email and other services on blackberry. This is perfect case for dragging Sunil Mittal to consumer court.If someone like me is there we can club together all things and file a consumer case against airtel.Please contact me on my email id.

        Did u send the sms to activate the bb plan. The whole process is automated and it took me less than 10 miins to activate on 2 blackberries. Do call 7070 from your blackberry phone for support/complaints on blackberry service. They should be able to guide you.

          I take Airtel lappo card for custmer balance transfer prepaid card. But this sim card problem.
          I told Distrubuter. But Distrubuter told me. You change ur mobile. But currntlly I use Nokia handset use for. Ideya and vodafone lappo card balance transfer. When I use Air tel lappo card. For custmer balanse transfer. This balance not transfer & when I check my balance transfer send message. This messager come to my mobile.
          I request to u please sold me my problem. Please give me airtel company of pune chinchwad areya TSM no Or email id. Because distrubutor not give me response.

            AirTel — Airtel Live Not Working & for payment

            1.My mobile number is [protected] but from the date of my connection my airtel live services are not working.
            I have called at customer care almost a 100 times but no one responded positivly.

            2.The credit limit of my a/c. is 1500/- but last month i got a bill of 2430/- why they did not disconnected my outgoing when my credit limit croosed. After that i made a payment of Rs.2430/-
            on 01/07/2008 at 11.30 am but they called at my home at 2 pm
            and they abused my father to pay bill. why???????????????????

              This regarding our mobile connection no . [protected]that, we are facing problem in our mobile bill since the bill of Dec, 08 to till date. We have submitted a request on 20/04/09 regarding the same for dis activate the 900 min. local free @rs. 300 vide request no.[protected], the call was attended by Mr. Rishi at 121. The request was for remove the pack from this connection.
              But next month we had received the bill there was found the double pack activated to this no. We are requesting to customer care again & again that kindly remove the un necessary charges from this mobile connection. every time when we are calling to air tel cc they giving some adjustments but not clearing the total unnecessary charges .

                  After having a talk with CC Executive, I had recharged Rs.2100/- for yearly Economy pack which has been activated immediately, ZEE BUSINESS channel is not included in the said pack. Therefore I had requested to their CC Executive to make a TOP-Ups of Hindi News plus (Request no. 787757) & also informed them that the One regional Channel (Suvarna) is not able to view which is included in Economy Pack (Request No. 785539).

                  To view one channel I am after them since almost a month.

                  Inspite of several reminder & calls, they are promising that it will get activated within 10mins etc but they are not activating the same, as I have sufficient balance in my account.

                  please let others aware of it and if possible post it in Facebook or other social media sites..that way you can help others from using this crap ...

                  i completely agree that AIRTEL service is worst in the busines, that is coz there are some irresponsible Airtel DTH officers who are not ready to take the ownership.


                  in short don't go for AIRTEL DTH.

                    Airtel prepaid mobile — no proper response for Lost sim card

                    My Father Owns a AIRTEL Prepaid Mobile and it was lost by him on 16th December 2007 We immediately contacted the concerned but the process adopted in BIHAR circle is the worst I have seen in AIrtel as the sim can not be blocked and it will only be blocked when the new sim is activated we submitted the FIR report & Afadavit on 24th and received the sim card but any one will be surprised to know till today after almost a month the sim card which was lost has not been blocked and our new simcard after 20 days has not been activated. I also have tfour AIRTEL Prepaid Mobiles in other cities but when our mobile is lost we call the customer care and inform them and the simcard is blocked within 12 hours and another sim card on paying the cahrges is handed over which is activated immediately.

                    Airtel Prepaid Connection — closure of number and forfiet of amount in prepaid connection

                    I had been using the airtel no.[protected] since 2006 which i got converted into prepaid by making the payment of Rs.99/- on 14.03.2009 vide reciept no.1035/21 at their Neha Communication Tagore Garden outlet and got issued fresh Chip for prepaid connection.After that i got recharged my number by Rs. 222/-.But due to some reasons i could not use the number.Today I tried to open my no but message was coming that Number does not exist where as it was life long validity Connection and whole the amount was lying unused.Today I approached at Neha Comm.Tagore Garden to restore my no. but the Incharge of that Branch told me that your number is not available now and all the amount there in is also forfieted .Kindly look into the matter and get my number restored with the balance there in as I had circulated this number to every one in my contact.

                      I have been using the service of airtel for last two years. I have rarely faced any network issue wilt airtel. But off late I have started getting huge problem with making/receiving calls. The receiption is good, but still I am not able to make calls, I have to give repeated try to get connected to anyone. Thinking that there could be some problem with the handset, I got it checked and the person checking the mobile confirmed that mobile is working as expected. Any attempt to resolve this issue will be greatly appriciated.

                      i guess something must be done on this regard as airtel is big name ..and lot fo customres rely on it.
                      The whole reputation of the company has gone down due to above stated problems..and top mostly Airtel should think that they are not the only players in the market ..people can change their mind .

                      Airtel Mobile Service — Network problem and customer service number problem

                      I have been facing continuous problemw with Airtel for the last few months. Initially the issue was only of ling being dropped repeatedly, but now nobody could contact me as the response they get is "phone is switched off". Even though i stand close to the caller and have my phone in my hand (switched on) the caller got the same message. Son now nobody can contact me and only I have to call them if i need to contact them (looks like a novel way of making money on my account).
                      Even though after many complaints regarding the call getting disconnected and now the response of "switched off" issue there in no respite. I have faithfully been paying my bills and hoping to see things change, but i've now lost my faith. Many of my close friends had already warned me about poor airtel services and customer services I still wanted to continue with Airtel. But after so long now I feel cheated.

                      The sad part is not only the network part, but also the customer service number that they have provided. It's no less than a advertising radio where I have to listen to so many of their ad's regarding new products and so and so. I can't reach the CSR on many occations and on many other ocassions my call is disconnected by the CSR. To quote one Incident where I was disconnected is on 11th Nov 2009 at 9:33 am Mr. Nyaneshwar disconnected the line in exactly 5 seconds.

                      I am a very dissatisfied customer and would want to know if there is any way someone could help me (other than telling me to just discontinue with Airtel). That would be so easy, but how would I get compensated for all those months I have been bearing with them??????

                      Am Prabhu. Am in Bangalore I use airtel and Idea(spice) SIM. my problem is i'm not able to send msg to new serious number (ie +91 80561 XXXXX). This new serious is from AIRTEL, Chennai. I spoke to customer care of both Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. I had no good response. Executive in Karnataka care is teasing me using the same slang which I use.

                      That number is able to msg me and able to receive from other number. Msg is not received from STD mobile number. Careless people for customer. I wonder what people in testing dept where doing without noticing the error.

                      I have an Airtel Prepaid mobile in Palakkad, Kerala. This morning December 14 at 4.30 I get an SMS saying that Rs. 30 has been deducted from my subscription for my 'latest SMS'. I have not sent an SMS since one week. I want to know what SMS I have sent for Rs. 30/- in the early morning. Also when I wanted to unsubscribe a hello tune the recorded voice says that all my contact details will be deleted if I unsubscribe the hello tune. What is this kind of blackmail being done to prepaid subscribers of Airtel?
                      Please look into this as soon as possible.

                      My mobile no is [protected], i m not able to send sms from this number for the past 5-6 months. i have registered complains for more than 15 times but the customer care teams gives me a complain no. and ask me toh wait for 48 or 72 hrs.The error which i face while sending msg is CHECK OPERATOR SERVICE in Case when i use NOKIA Phones and Service Unavailable when i use SAMSUNG Phones.

                      In the month of July, I had a word with the T.L. also, they give me an assurance that you will be able to send messages within 8 hrs bcoz your service is blocked from our end.but still i am not able to send messages. I Dont want to change my no.as i m using it from Jan 15, 2010.
                      If the problem remains the same after addressing you this mail, i will go for some other operator.

                      For the past 2-3 weeks, I am not receiving any message, I am able to send the msgs alone. i have contacted the customer care center on26.10.2010(Tuesday), where they told me, that they will rectify the problem within 48 hrs but still I am having the same problem. Kindly look into my problem seriously.

                      Airtel prepaid mobile service — About not Sending SMS from my Mobile

                      No SMS send from my Mobile Nokia 7210 Model My mobile No. [protected]. My Message Centre No. is also Correct. and I compaint two month ago for this problem to Airtel Helpline. and I also complaint today for this problem but no solution made me.                       I am an Airtel Customer for nearly six months. My grievance is that your network is not responding to the stopping o[censored]nwanted telemarketing calls.

                      Whenever I used to send SMS to 1909 requesting "START DND" , your network is
                      not at all registering it. Moreover, I am fed up with the unwanted calls and messages very often. It has become really a headache for me. Hence I request you to urgently
                      intervene in the matter and arrange to solve the matter at your earliest.

                      Another complaint is that for the past couple of weeks, your network is very weak in my area. In my mobile, the tower signal is very weak. May be due to the optimisation of your connection. But this causes interruptions in my calls and often the calls are being cutted again and again. what a shame to a Telecom Service Provider like Airtel.....
                      You are requested to immediately arrange to set up a new tower in our area.

                      Airtel connectivity is very poor in our town which is very near to Chittur Municipality in Palakkad district. Often our connections get cutted off amidst calls due to weak signals in the mobile handsets. May be due to optimisation of connections without
                      installing sufficient infrastructures like Tower and other appliances.
                      This causes my friends and relatives to get in touch with me very often. They often
                      hear, when they ring me, is " the Airtel No. you are calling is out of coverage area".
                      What a pity . It is really a shame to the India's No.5 Telecom Company
                      You are urgently intervene in the matter and arrange to solve our problem without much
                      delay.

                      Moreover, unwanted telemarketing calls are also causing headaches for me. No response even if I had send SMS to 1909 stating START DND.

                          Dear Sir,
                          I have purchased an airtel sim from an airtel outlet in bangalore on 18 June 2009. I submitted a copy of my driving license, filled the forms and also submitted one passport size photo. After one week I got a message saying my outgoing calls is barred since i havent submitted my documents. I went to the dealer and asked but he told that he has already submitted the docs. Then next day(27 June) i visited the airtel customer relationship centre at indiranagar 100ft road. Airtel executive Ms Josephine told me that they havent recieved my documents, so if i resubmit the documents they will remove the barring. I agreed and she redirected me to another executive Mr. Sashidharan. I submitted everything again that day and they reactivated my account.
                          Then after 6 days, on 3 July again i got a message saying that my incoming calls are banned since i havent submitted my documents. I was out state that time and was unable to make a call to customer care. Then on monday(6 July) I called to customer care and Ms Asha registered a complaint based on my experience. The same day i went to the relation ship centre at indiranagar and met the same guy(Mr. Sashidharan). He told that it was a mistake from there side that the documents are not reached the back office on time. He apologized and reactivated my account at 7 30 pm. I was able to make and accept calls then.
                          Then after the relationship centre office timing (after 8 pm) my incoming and out going calls are barred without any notice.
                          Now total i lost 6 days of calls (Still not active). I called to the customer care and Mr Kiran told that the complaint is raised. I spend 100 Rs for sim card and having more than 100 Rs talk time. I also activated STD booster which is valid only for 30 days. In that i already lost 6 days and still losing without making any calls. If anybody tell me what to be done next, it will be very helpfull. Since my number is already updated in our corporate directory and given to many, it will be difficult to get rid of this connection.I am losing valuable time fighting this.But i just dont want to withdraw without any result

                              I have a corporate CUG connection betweeen [protected] and [protected] where i was enjoying all the CUG discounts but suddenly without giving prior intimation the CUG connection was deactivated between these number and have billed for calls made and not been given any CUG discounts which i'm entitled to get.Hence as requested by Airtel i have paid back all the outstandin bill dues, now i wann the CUG to be activated as soon as possible and need to be reimbursed with the amount of bill which i paid for calls made between this number.Please take quick action on this complaint as i've been following up with airtel for past one month & still my complaint has not yet been resolved.

                                I Amit Kumaran havent been using my mobile connection for the past 5 months.And then they kept calling me for bill payment.Ultimately I told the representative that I will pay on the condition that my line should be disconnected. And I paid the dues online...Now i have received another bill for the last month..This is irritating...

After disconnection of my phone I want reconnect the same as early as you can. where as till now I could not get any response from this person.I am holding 50 nos. of Airtel connection in my firm.It is regrade to inform you kindly action may be deemed as fit from your side to him due to negligence to reconnect the same till now.

                                    It is very unfortunate about services from your reputed renowned organization.I shall be highly obliged if you will kindly to search the matter personally and action may be taken against him quickly otherwise disconnect my All the Airtel connections and balance may be refunded to my address.

                                      how would you feel when asked to call the tollfree customer care number and then charged for it?
                                      I Faced the same situation when i received an SMS in which it mentioned a tollfree number for airtel from airtel for some radio services, I just called the tollfree number where i found that it done subscribing to the radio on demand service, which was not desired.
                                      I asked the customer care regarding this and they spoke arrogantly that you should have asked us prior calling to the so called "TOLL FREE" number and it was not to be solved anymore.

                                      This is not the first time i've faced such a problem with the Airtel service.

                                      [censored] the AIRTEL service, it has always created some or the other problems to customer.

                                      I have called tata sky toll free no. [protected] on 29.10.2008 and about Rs. 17 had been debited from my account. I have taken up the matter with Airtel. But they are justifying their act.

                                      Dont provide that services which didnt activated & due to this charges deducted, customer get irretated by your unexpected services. Introduction of charges on toll free number on 121 customer must have to pay for a call customer care 121 which services not activated by customer, this is totally inconvience to customer another thing is chrages on toll free no then how it can be a toll free (cost charged )

                                        as per my knowledge airtel is a reputed company, but practically i am facing its poor and cheapest service, even when i made a call for customer care, i got different types of answer, someone is saying above tariff has closed now, someone saying this plan has changed with other amount tariff, and sometimes they said to Reactivation for this plan.from the same place i got diffrent answer.which make a confusion and suffering from last month. and also lost my money and time for this...
                                        still i am not getting any responsible answer for this problem...
                                        i hope there is some responsible peoples handling this company. and working for a long time customer relationship, and now i request to company if they are not able to make any sollution for my problem..kindly inform me...how to deactivate a pre paid sim...

                                        Airtel — activation of different plan

                                        I'm krishna patil([protected]). I'm Subcriber of airtel from more than 1 year. Just now activated rs.19 GPRS pack , instead of 19 rs , 60 rs pack got activated and balance deducted . I dialled *567*14# , it showed " due to your low balance you can activate Rs.19 Pack reply with 1 to activate ". I did , then message came " Dear customer, you have been charged Rs.60 for this service. Now you can enjoy browsing upto 1GB for 14days". I lost 60 rs :( . I called cust care they told its not possible to refund your balance, they can't do anything.

                                        AirTel — not implementing tariff plan

                                        I have persecond plan but airtel is chargin more.i have recarged with rs 55 and company has to charge 30 paisa A to A but they are charging more pls solve our issue
