Airtel — balance deductions in the name of junk service activations | |
Hi, I received an sms saying amount of 49/- deducted towards hot chilles activation without even my consent or request on my mobile [protected]. The next sms says download hot models etc.. How can such pathetic and cheap service be activated on customer without seeking user confirmation. This literally seems to be a fraud run by airtel to loot money. I'd like to have this brought to airtels notice and ban such cheap ideas of looting us. Also awaiting for some quivk action on my complaint with refund and cancellation. This is in reference to your communication to DOT with reference number DOTEL/E/2017/31839 dated 11th September 2017, wherein your concern is regarding balance deduction due to activation of VAS services related issue for the airtel mobile number [protected].
As per your telephonic discussion with the undersigned dated 29th September 2017 on [protected], this is to apprise you that post system validation it has been established that Rs.49/- got deducted on 6th September 2017 for the subscription of the service “HOT CHILLIES” activated from your end through SMS.
Further, we have already processed an adjustment of Rs.49/- to your above mentioned airtel number on 6th September 2017.
Further, please be informed that you can dial *121*51# or 12181 toll free to check last 5 deductions happened in last 72 hours.
In future, to deactivate any Value Added Service, Call or SMS STOP to 155223 (toll free.
Furthermore, you can also visit my airtel app to activate or deactivate value added services(VAS).
