Airtel — postpaid connection - bill generated after disconnection | |||
Hi, My name is tomy, i had an airtel postpaid connection number [protected]. I raised a request to disconnect the service on sept 16, 2017 since i am going abroad. I got a call from the retention team on same day and after a long conversation, negotiation and persuasion from the retention team i told them, i am not going to keep the connection at any cost. So they finally agreed and disconnected the service. My phone showed no signal after few hours and i thought they have disconnected it and i started preparing for my travel On 20th september, the bill for that month (Aug-sept) was generated and i paid it fully and departed from india. Now today when i checked my airtel app which is still in phone, i could see that a bill has been generated on october 20th which is around 411rs. So i called my friend in india to call airtel customer service center and ask about this. He called and he said, the customer care executive doesn't have any idea and they said they will contact him soon, but no information from them till now. As per the customer care executive, the disconnection would take 7 days to take effect. If that is true then sept 16 + 7 days, by sept 23rd, the connection should have been disconnected. But the truth is my phone started showing no signal on sept 16th itself after few hours of the retention team call. Even if the connection get disconnected in sept 23, and bill date being 20th of every month (I think so) i should only pay 3 days bill, not a full month's. Please resolve this issue asap, since am not present in india at the moment and i am raising this complaint with the help of my friend in india. Was this information helpful? | |||
