Airtel — refund of extra amount paid for broadband without using the connection | |||||
Dear sir With reference to the above, i am to inform you that i had been using a broadband connection of airtel since 2017 with relationship no [protected] and ll no:[protected]. On subscription i had paid for a period of 6 months and the date of my next bill was 27th may 2018. As i was not satisfied with the quality of the broadband provider and despite several complaints are lodged and my problems with the connection was not permanently resolved. I did not made a payment till my problem gets resolved. My broadband connection got disconnected (Cutting of fibre cable) on approx 1st june 2018 and from that day i could not use airtel broadband and was offered a good plan/tariff from another service provider and decided to switch to that particular provider as the same was my right. Since the said date i was not using neither broadband nor landline service of yours. I got calls from airtel customer department for the payment of dues on last week of june and i had told them that my connection got disconnected and i had taken another connection from other service provider and denied for the payment for the total plan and asked them to charge me on pro rata basis. Unfortunately i got a call from mrs geetha, legal advocate of airtel from a number +91-[protected] on 20th sep 2018 saying that a case on lok adalat is filed by airtel bearing case number: cpc 2784/13c/2018-19 dated 20th sep 2018 and asked me for attending lok adalat hearing on 20th sep 2018 with rs.4832/- (2832/- bill amount + 2000/- court fees) on 21st sep 2018 or otherwise clearing the due by 20th sep 2018 for an amount of rs.2832/-. I had chosen the option of clearing the due by 20th sep and made the payment at airtel store with transaction id:[protected] As the above action by airtel on me is totally unfair for the following reasons 1. I had not requested for auto renewal of my package but the same is done by airtel with out my consent 2. I had used the data from 27th may to 1st june but i was charged for 6 months, which is totally unfair. 3. It is purely a case of defamation of an old customer of yours since 2012.
