I have registered for a sim card replacement (for mobile number: [protected]) which was on the name of my brother who is currently residing in Canada for study purposes.
We visited store first on 17 December 2022 with all documents required including NOC which was properly written as they needed but instead they given their own format and ask to come back with all documents back after two days.
First they provided wrong mail id for documents sending which took extra two days then finally at 4th day they took copies of all documents including (my Aadhar card, my brother's Aadhar card, brother's VISA, Passport and NOC which was written by my brother and mailed to them on their email) then they did video call verification to my brother over WhatsApp.
And then provided me a new sim card replacement which they said mostly will take only **04** days to activate.
Today as on 10/January/2023, the sim card is still not activated. We have visited the only Airtel store here in Aligarh, U.P multiple times for the status and processing and have called on their store phone number ([protected]) over 10 times in last two weeks but the store lady who answers calls keeps delaying saying that it will be done by today/in two days/by evening, etc.
My brother's Indian Bank are linked to this number and needs to do important transactions and is stuck due to this slow process by the Airtel staff and facing problems in a foreign country.
Currently, he is studying and so the bank transactions are necessary thing for him but its been 20 days now and the company isn't doing anything.
20 days already passed since all documents and formalities have been completed by us but no store keeps delaying it without any exact date, now they are not answering calls (I can't visit store always, it's too far from my home), customer care number (121) have a long queue and never connects the call to customer representative.
Airtel social media team (twitter/Facebook support) also doing nothing after I've told them the whole case.
Please escalate this problem to Airtel for sim card replacement ASAP.
