[Resolved] Akbar Travels — faulty flight booking page leading to name error and unethical behaviour by the customer support team | |||
I booked an international Flight from Akbar Travels webpage. It states that Name has to be as per Passport, but at the same time, it makes Last name Mnadatory. I just have my first name in my Passport so I was trying to book the flight with my first name only. But the Booking page of Akbar Travels was not allowing me to proceed and was throwing a Pop Up that last name is mandatory so reluctantly I entered my Last name to complete booking. In a couple of days I worried that I should not face any issue at the time of boarding hence, I highlighted this to Akbar Travel's Customer care. Since, Then every time I try and speak to customer care, they give me all kinds of reasons and try to prove that I am only at fault and they are all compliant. I should have called customer care or live Chat immediately. My question is being an OTA is it not their responsibility that they make an informative page. Are they not aware that People may not have Surname in Passport. Then why they make Last name mandatory on their booking page.The error I made was forced by Akbar Travels. And now they are washing their hands. They want me to cancel the ticket or pay airline Name correction charges. Is Akbar travel not at fault over here. Why should I bear the penalty for an error on OTA's side. And it is just not that behaviour of Akbar's Customer team is extremely pathetic, rude and unprofessional, I want to report this unethical behaviour as Akbar Travel's team will never resolve it on their own. Jul 19, 2019 Complaint marked as Resolved Akbar travels has updated my itenerary and I have got the updated ticket.
Not sure how they agreed but today I got a call that they are resolving the issue and not charging me anything. And thankfully this time the person calling was supportive and polite. Akbar Travels customer support has been notified about the posted complaint. | |||

Online e ticket booking (Trip id[protected] without confirmed ticket they deduct cash and till one 7 days didnt refund i contact customer support team they saying with in 4 days it will credit to your account till not
Refund has already been processed to the original form of payment.
