The Constellation Vitrectomy System broke down in the middle of a surgery. The technical team cited lame excuses to avoid attending the call because of coronavirus. The patient lost his eye. The machine started functioning when we opened it and checked its connections. However, the technical team told us it will never function without chaning the module. The patient's eye could have been saved had the company acted in a timely manner. The head of Alcon Technical, Mr Shashwat Bhattacharya, does not even answer calls for help.
