[Resolved] Andhra Bank — cheque clearance after bouncing due to insufficient balance | |
Hi, I had deposited a cheque (Of inr 25000) to fund my own account in icici bank in kolkata (Outstation cheque, my home branch being in odisha), but it was rejected due to insufficient funds. I deposited the said amount in my account the very next day. Now it has been quite some time but the cheque hasn't been cleared yet. I talked with icici representative, and they said that the cheque has been sent again on (Or before) 25th september. I called up the customer care number of andhra bank, but they could only access my last five transactions (Which did not reflect the cheque bouncing notification, "inward reject") and had no way to provide me the information. This is the 3rd day after the said deposit of cheque. Now, my question is how do i know the status of the cheque and how long should i wait before going to icici bank and issue a new cheque, if necessary? Account no.
