I was searching for some online jobs, I came to meet Ankur jain ([protected]@gmail.com), They sent me a set of task to complete in 4 days after which i paid them 1000 to the Airtel no. [protected] on 24th Aug(Which they said was refundable) so that they would pay 90 rs per page. But after i sent them the Converted files on 28th August . I never heard back from them till now(Sept 2). I mailed many times. I was not able to connect to the number they gave. Can i be able to get my money back Was this information helpful? | |||

I acknowledge your post. This person posted the same project in Freelancer.com and contacted me through my email address from email ID Ankur jain ([protected]@gmail.com). He said the same thing and asked me to do a deposit of Rs 1000 or Rs 2000.
I checked in the Internet for this guy and reached this post. I gave the link of this post and asked him to provide justification for the same. He scolded me in bad words and disappeared. Please find the email that he sent me below.
"You can start working with us by depositing the refundable security of Rs 1000/- or Rs 2000/- INR as per the Plan in the airtel money account of [protected] either at the airtel showroom or online at http://www.airtel.in/personal/money/load-cash through your credit card, debit card or net banking. Open the link, put the mobile no. as mentioned, type the characters as shown in the image, make submit and deposit the security from any of the three options there. Phone support will be provided once you will join us.

I can clearly see that he is using a different airtel number every time. It will be great is someone can take actions against these cheaters.

I have had the same disgusting behaviour from this person although I am not even getting any response to my emails. Absolutely shocking behaviour.
Not only did I pay the so called "refundable deposit" of $31 USD but I spent many hours of my own time typing up the novel text. I am trying to make a living and not fund scammers.

Not sure what you can do about these cheaters - there are lots of them on Freelancer. They set up different user names and slightly change the wording on their projects but they are the same people. The best way to identify them is to see whether they are verified or have had other jobs completed for them on Freelancer. If it looks like their profile is newly set up then they are likely to be cheaters. Also if they want you to contact them at an email address outside of Freelancer then that should set of alarm bells.
How they can scam people the way they do is awful. They not only get the so called 'refundable' deposit from you but you do the work for them for nothing and then they get paid for completing the task.

Seems like "[protected]@gmail.com" is still goofing around unsuspecting victims. I was reached by the account "suryamittal839 " on freelancer to do some excel task. then the person requested me to reach him at "[protected]@gmail.com".
He requested to make a deposit first. Which triggers something, so i have decided to check for the email address and found this thread.

I had a similar experience this morning, 9th December, 2017. A job for Filing a spreadsheet with data and was approached by freelancer meghachandran93d to send an email to [protected]@gmail.com for details.
The reply email from [protected]@gmail.com contained various plans with different deposit amounts. I rejected the job. Surprisingly, the account meghachandran93d was closed by noon.
I am putting up this experience to let others know that it is scam with involvement of some freelancer from India too.

The same email. I too had no clue get mugged by this kind of mail. I too lost Rs. 1600/- in this process. Chose the plan 1. Now, no reply. Used PAYDECK to pay the money. Lot902 was the job title. It was my parent's hard earned money. Now they will not believe me in any kind of jobs like this and neither do I.
I tracked his account number to a name called Jatin Kumar, Account number - [protected], IFSC code - SBIN0004844 which leads to SBI Gokullpuri, New Delhi.
