[Resolved]  Axis Bank — am i a street dog? i don't have any other option than to die...

I am a customer of axis bank. 3/3/2018 [incident date]

I work in an engineering college. I am from a middle class family and my entire family runs with my income alone. I am getting roughly 18k per month.
My own brother has just joined in an engineering college for his studies whom i have stopped him from the college since i was not able to pay the fee and his future is also a question mark. I don blame anyone for it but my fate.

I do have my educational loan from a bank and i ll have to pay around 6k there monthly. Other than this i ll have to pay my house rent electricity bill and for my fuel expenses and for few basic needs alone and not more than that.

I was using credit card for few purchases and in between got some medical expenses so i couldn't pay emi for last three of four months.
If at all at least i should make it for the next meals each day my monthly salary is the only source and i am completely relying on that. Only if it comes without any difficulties i could think on the other side on how to pay the credit card payment etc.

One month back i have been called by the collection agent belong to my area and i have been informed about the non payment and i have been asked to pay min 3k atleast to save my account. Which was too difficult for me and i borrowed for interest and paid 2k to him and that was paid towards my credit card.

I was not able to pick the calls for a while but for the past one month i was in contact with the collection agent and also tried to keep my account alive by paying minimum amount i can. But still...

I have asked the agent to get me connected to the higher officials whom could i can speak regarding this. And twice he told me that he will connect but i am yet to get connected. Also i have explained him briefly that i need atleast 2 months time for any settlement or i need a min emi of 2k more than that i cannot.

And yesterday i have received my income but my account is frozen that i couldn't move at least for my house rent so that i may not need to vacate. Only with my income i can pay the amount which i got for interest and paid for last month to the agent. But now i am in a tedious position
I contacted the agent and informed him about the frozen account and he replied that he can contact the branch by tomorrow and reply me. Even if in case of defreezing the account i ll have to pay a minimum amount of 7k which will fetch me only 10 k approx for my next 30 days including all the expenses. To be frank i am on the platform.

Right from the beginning i never wanted credit cards which i know the seriousness.
Your representative called me continuously torchured me and asked me to get card. And so i got and now i am helpless.

18k salary monthly on what criteria you people are providing credit cards of maximum limit 50k?
On the idea that you will screw the middle class people by freezing the account for 90 days and collect your money that is ok but what will happen for the middle class victim and how will he atleast have food for 90 days even if he was not able to manage any other expenses atleast?

And i wish to tell my students and people over social networking sites so that people can know how axis bank screws the middle class customers till death. And what are the things happening actually and i will suggest them the seriousness of credit cards.


At last i am writing with a hope that at least one in this entire planet will have solution for this issue. If i could not pay my house rent by tomorrow morning then i am finished. I do have self respect. If someone shouts at in front of my home then i will have to end my game and no other option.

I am a college professor and i teach my students about ethics and i do have my ethics. I was desperate to pay it back without a single rupee pending. But now this incident made me blank i was humiliated to an extreme extent.

I was happened to speak to the official who is heading the credit card section.

Such a careless words she uttered.

She is asking me to pay 18k to release the account which has 19 k
Her words really hurted me. I was begging to release that 19k to pay all the needs i have here that includes the 2k i borrowed for paying last month.
Then how will i make it for my rent food and other expenses?

I also have the phone call conversation recorded.

I was polite enough to explain my situation and asked her for a solution but she was really very careless and just speaks like she was speaking to a street dog. Are the customers of axis bank are street dogs?

She was not even ready to speak.

Since my salary account was on their handle... I ll have to beg... Yes... I ll have to do whatever they say now... Whatever...

Axis bank really never care about their customer safety.
They really doesn't care about customer self respect.
I was begging to the official for a grace period atmost 2 month. I can make a settlement. She humiliated me... Asked me the question... How will u make it to the settlement i[censored] were not be able to manage to arrange 18 k then how will u pay the full amount. I don have answer for 3 seconds. She cut the call without a proper intimation atleast... Is this the way axis bank is educating their officials to behave with the customers? Is this the way a civilized people behave?

I don have any other option. No one to help me.

In fact i mailed my grievances to axis bank and i never got a reply mail from them too. I am helpless.

Dear axis bank... Yes you can check mate your customers easily. But is that your vision and mission?

Excellent support from the bank.
If this is how they treat an educated professor then how will they treat an illiterate?

Long live axis bank... Bury more people... Earn more profit...

Not even a single reply or phone call or even mail from Axis bank. its already 14 days. Still my salary is locked. Running out of money... Eating once in a day. Dont know where will i get a solution. I am just having rs 100 in hands to spend for this entire month.

Got JIO recharged last month. Thank god. Atleast i could write here.

My hopes are fading.

They never care about their customers.

Cruel behaviour.

But there is someone who is watching all these...

As you sow shall you reap.

The officials who took this rude decision against me... Note my words... You will see your next generation suffering begging for food and money...

I thought my account was freezed. Yesterday i got another shock. My entire salary is debited.This is not yet over it seems.They have planned to debit my next two months salary to equal the amount. I dont know from where will i pay the amount i got to run these past couple of weeks. Or From where will i manage to get my basic needs for the next two months.
To manage these two months i must get money from outside that is double the amount of the credit card pending. So credit card pending will be over by next two months but double the times burden for me. As a valuable customer of Axis bank thanks alot for the prescious gift...

I strongly believe that i will close my axis bank account and i will strongly recommend my students and wherever i go... that not to be a customer of Axis bank where no mercy is shown. I will educate my students not to get caught by the credit card and never invest money in banks since where there is no mercy then there is nothing to believe them . From now on this is my main statement before i take class. I will insist my future generation and students.

And As a reply to the axis bank team in the above comments.I have already contacted axis bank support. I never got reply. But still respecting your comments I will definitely share my concerns there. I will keep update here the status often.

Atleast people should know how a customer can suffer being a valuable customer of Axis bank.
