Axis Bank — Axis Bank - UPI amount debited but the merchant did not receive the amount || Money Deposit in Non Existent Bank Account

Address:Takudipara, Jantanagar Main Road, Block No. 4, Jetpur, Rajkot

This is regarding the UPI transaction which I did on December 28th, 2022 of Rs. 5000 via GPay. The transaction got successful from my end and the amount got debited from my savings bank account (Bank of Baroda) but the merchant didn't receive the amount in his account.

After follow-ups with the Bank of Baroda, I have got the below details about the transaction. The amount has been transferred to the below account number.

Beneficiary Bank: Axis Bank
Beneficiary Account No. : [protected]
Beneficiary IFSC: UTIB0000000

After checking with the merchant, the above-mentioned account number is not the merchant's account number and IFSC mentioned above is not a valid code.

Please help me in getting my money back into my Bank of Baroda account.
