[Resolved] Axis Bank — Detain My money due To Own Bank Fault | |||
Dear Sir, I had a current account in Axis Bank, details mentioned below: Name -CTC Associates Current Acc No.- [protected] Branch -Wanoworie Pune My issue is that I have applied for account closing request on 21/04/16 in same branch as I mentioned above. The bank executive has given me a account closing form which I have duly filled and submitted as per his satisfaction. He assured me that all the compliances are complete and account closure shall be processed smoothly. I also confirmed whether any charges applicable or any due against me. They said there were no charges and also I can withdraw my balance money so I did the same and withdraw my balance amount from my account. I have received proper acknowledgement for the same and it has been enclosed here. On 25th Jan 2017 By mistake my client deposited a cheque no. 289245 of amount Rs.3405/- in same account which according to me was closed as I have been assured by bank executive that all compliances are complete from my end. But shockingly the account was not yet closed and the same has not been updated me to me at all. There has been no correspondence from bank neither at my address nor on my phone and email. This is ridiculous on part of bank that they keep befooling customers when we visit branch and then they don’t even think that there is any need o[censored]pdating customer that there is some issue in account closure. When I enquired in bank in Delhi they told me that the cheque is cleared and the amount has been applied against charges for non maintenance of minimum balance for the period May 2016 to till date. But when I have applied for account closure then why should I be liable for any charge. I want the waiver of these charges and want my money back of Rs. 3405. It is bank duty to update the customer that account closure request has been rejected. Moreover the branch manager of ICIC Bank- Prashant Vihar Delhi-110085 is not ready to cooperate this issue and saying us to go and contact Pune branch as it is not there branch issue. I also want to know whether this is right or not. Customer should have right to get his issue resolved at any branch irrespective of his home branch. This is like a mental harassment for me. Axis bank never informed me to status my account till today neither any call or email. I cant loose my hard earned money for bank faults.Please resolved this issue & this is not my fault & i don't want to degrade my CIBIL Score. I followed as your bank executive told me.
