Axis Bank — wrong verbal commitment for car loan foreclosure charges | |||||
I got a new car in 2014 from concept hyundai - ahmedabad and my car loan was processed from axis bank. After 3 years, in 2017 i started getting calls from local landline numbers stating that i have very good repayment record hence axis bank is offering top up loan at lower interest rate. I denied it for some 10 time to 10 different people but then though if it is less interest then why not? I finally agreed for top up loan. The girl who called me (I am sure from some dsa of axis bank) very clearly told me that if i want to foreclose my car loan any time from day 1, i can do so without any penalty because this is top up loan and not fresh loan Very recently i bought a new car hence i wanted to prepay car loan (Top up loan) but to my surprise axis bank charged me rs 15000 as penalty for foreclosure. I strongly objected the same stating that i was told by your staff that there are no charges. Nobody helped me at axis bank and i had to pay the penalty as i wanted noc as eary as i can I have serious complain about this incident and i demand rs15000 refund back otherwise i am going to file case in ahmedabad disctrict consumer court Was this information helpful? | |||||
