Bajaj Auto — Dominar battery | |||
I have a dominar motor cycle. Bought from kanchan bajaj in thane in 2018 february. Due to covid lock down my motor cycle remained unused for 20 days. So when i tried to start the motor cycle. It would not start. So i contacted the bajaj dealer on 90 feet road mulund east for the same. He sent his man who took out the battery for charging. After 4 hours the dealer told me that the battery does not hold charge so you will have to buy a new battery. He suggested me amron maintenance free battery for rs 4800/-. I asked him how much will you refund for my old battery. He said no one buys it you will get 100-150 rupees. He was in a hurry to fit a new battery in my motor cycle. So i smelt a rat. I told him that my brother being an electrical engineer has suggested to get the battery to his workshop so that we can charge it well. He said take it anywhere it will not work. So i took the battery checked it up with my brother;'s amron authorised dealer. The battery was working perfectly fine. So i got it fitted back to my dominar and gave a test start it started well. No only that time even next day morning it started at first crank. I waited for 2 days however my old battery is perfectly working fine. Also my motorcycle is also performing very well. This kind of cheating is not expected from an authorized dealer of bajaj. He is not a roadside mechanic who cheats people. It will bring disrepute to the company in no time. We are proud of bajaj being an indian brand which is proving better than international brands. But this type of behaviour by an authorized dealer will soon bring disrepute to bajaj.
