Bharat Sanchar Nigam [BSNL] — disconnect the bsnl, broadband and landline but still getting the bills generated

I had personally gone to the bsnl office in tambaram, chennai and gave a written statement to disconnect my bsnl connection on august, and the order was issued to the vandalur branch office on the same day, and was informed that the deposit amount would also be sent as cheque.

But still am getting the bills generated every month.
