Bharti Airtel (Broadband) — downtime issue regarding landline and mobile services

I am an Airtel service user with Broadband/Landline (080-*****887) and Mobile (*******439 / *******719 / *******719). Today in the morning in Karnataka circle in between 9:30 am - 9:45 am the internet went completely down. I understand Airtel was experiencing a downtime.

Were customers informed beforehand about the downtime issue? Was there any communication from Airtel end regarding this? The answer is 'no'. But 'why'? We get spammed with calls if a bill pay by date is missed but when it comes about service issues why can't a simple message be sent??

I am a trader who got into a trade and lost 20K amount in a span of 15 minutes. Who takes accountability for that? And just like me, there would be thousands who are using the internet and might have got into some major trouble due to the downtime issue. I want Airtel to compensate for the loss incurred which could be avoided if I was aware of the downtime.
