Big Bazaar / Futurebazaar / Future Retail / Hometown — pnb rewardz point redemption trouble

I shopped at a listed outlet (Pnb rewardz prog).
I mentioned the cashier to bill on my rewardz points but, instead of the rewardz points the purchase was made through the a/c balance.
My rewadz balance was sufficient for bill amount. So that was not the issue.

I would like to shop again at bigbazzar
So,
Any special procedure to be followed for a rewardz point purchase?
