Bima Lokpal — yearly premium payment of hdfc ergo policy number[protected]

Dear Sir/Madam,

When I tried to pay for my yearly premium on 16th or 17th of Feb 2019, I realized that payment is already done through my Credit card account. I called HDFC ERGO Customer care twice or thrice, Customer care representatives confirmed me twice that Payment is done through 'agency' on 5th Feb and not through Auto-pay/ Standing instruction kind of. May please refer the audio calls of Feb 2019 17th/18th.

HDFC Bank (The credit card Bank) still did not confirm that there was any auto-debit or how the payment is done, without any transaction (Consent) and even without any information. HDFC Bank requested me to ask the same query to HDFC ERGO through email.

Requested HDFC ERGO the same query through email. HDFC ERGO did not respond.

I had to send a reminder to HDFC ERGO to get a response. They confirmed this time that the payment is done through Auto-Pay which is completely different from their previous response. I am a sensitive and sincere customer. I did not do any act till now which can be valued as my consent or in agreement to go for an yearly debit. In general practice too for my utility and credit card bills I never go for Auto-debits and in this case the Premium amount is negotiable (check the last 10 years record).

There is no sms sent by HDFC ERGO prior or after the payment. They have sent the Insurance policy certificate on 10th Feb through email.

Moreover, In cases of ECS payment I know and Auto debits (I know from my friends) that there are communications from the Beneficiary banks/Merchants just before the ECS monthly debits and also there are communications of Receipt particularly in cases of Auto Debit.

It is a clear case of the Insurance company going for an illegal transaction having encrypted my card details during 2018. Contrarily HDFC ERGO Representative Vaibhab has tried to contest me rudely and threatened whether I should continue the policy or not (Most unwanted question now)
