[Resolved] Bosch Home India — Unethical practice by bosch home india | |||||
I had purchased Bosch Washing Machine WAS24460IN in the year 2014. Suddenly in January, 2017 the machine stopped working. A service request no. [protected] was raised and a service engineer visited our home. He stated that the 'Power Module' of the machine has failed and requires replacement. The estimated cost of the replacement was quoted at Rs.14000 and also subject to availability of the spare parts. The issue to get the machine fixed is available on a different thread(dated 11 Jan 2017). Main Issue : Apparently the company has a practice of taking advance for the spare parts being replaced. This practice is "UNETHICAL" and unheard of as most companies first provide the service and then charge for the services. Infact their service provider in Delhi 'JSR Sales Company' has sent details of their bank accounts where the money is to be deposited for the spare parts. At first I did not believe the service provider and hence called the company helpline on 14-Jan-2017 at 11:15AM. One Priyanka confirmed that ingfact this is a company policy to take advance for spare parts. This according to me in 'Unethical Practice' and should be discontinued ASAP.
