Airtel Broadband & Telephone Services — Connection not given. Money not refunded

I applied for a Broadband connection on 29th Sept 2012. A representative from Airtel came and took Rs.699/- from me and I filled CEF no. 519134. He promised connection in 24 hrs. After three days, I called airtel and they said they will comeback in 24 hrs. Again I called and they told that they can't give me connection due to some technical problem. I demanded my money back. They created another compliant log in and nothing happened. After 1 more round of follow-up with customer care, I wrote to the nodal officer. Still nothing happened. They called me after a week and repeated the same story. No one is giving an answer on the re-fund. I have demanded them to give me the refund with interest, as they will charge my late fee if I defualt my bill by one day. It is not about Rs.699, but the callous attitude with which Airtel treats the customer is more frustrating for me.Because of this, I was also deprived of internet connection, which is very crucial for me to work from home. I expect their representatives to know connection feasibility before they take money from customers. We are not here to fund for Airtel's working capital. I want my money back with Interest and compensation.

Airtel — connection not gioven and not refunding the money

I applied for a new broadband connection on 27th aug'07 at lucknow(U.P) for which I paid Rs 1200/- through cheque, I was not provided with the connection because of non-feasibility. Now I am asking for the refund of my money since 30th aug'07.
Its been more than two months company has not returned my money. I called customer care so many times and even sent email also , everytime they give me new concern no and next time when I call them the previous concern is closed and new concern no is given. So far I have been given four concern no of which three concerns has been closed and a new one given to me today.
Sometime they say cheque has been dispatched and will reach in few days, sometime they say that I have paid only Rs 700/- according to their system. I had already provided them copy of reciept of payment and copy of account statement from which payment has been made to Bharti Airtel on 3rd sept'07 long time back. It seems as if they are not wishin to refund the amount.

Kindly suggest what to do.

these people have got so many customer, SO they are enjoying monopoly.

So they don't commit anything over email! becoz they are shamless [censored]s can't keep their word!!!
9 days gone now after this response. My issue is not solved it.
This is a ridiculous response. I raised the issue in Airtepresence also. I have not received any resolution on the issue. Got three calls from Airtel call centre confirming that my connection is active. But there is no connection given to my house. I am fedup with this and I do not want your connection. I want my money back with 18% interest.
