Budget Exim Pvt. Ltd — Misbehaviour of BMTC conductor and trying to overcharge

Address:Bangalore, Karnataka

Today April 3, 2015 (Friday) I boarded a BMTC bus Route 171G from Double road to Adugodi Police Quaters, a Route that I have been using for the last one month. My fare is Rs.17. Everyday I pay Rs. 17 when I go from Double road to Adugodi Police Quarters by Bus 171. Today at 4:30 pm the bus conductor asks me to give him Rs.19. I tended exact change of Rs.17 to him for my ticket. He insisted that I pay him Rs.2 more, I asked him why, he informs me that the fare is Rs. 19. I told him I have been travelling everyday for the past one month on that same route, and I pay Rs.17. So why should i give him Rs.2 extra. He started abusing me and getting aggressive towards me and asked me to get down. I told him i refuse to get down, call the police and we will settle this issue. He then insisted that I get down at Shantinagar Bus depot and settle it with the Supervisor. The rude and aggressive behaviour of this conductor was appalling. The Bus number plate is KA01-FA-1252. For the last one month I have dealt with various conductors on the issue of change, so I decided to take the exact amount of money for my ticket. Most of the conductors try to cheat you either by giving you a ticket of a lesser value or not giving you a ticket at all. I have lived in Mumbai, I never had this problem with the BEST conductors. This is a shame on Bangalore and the BMTC. With so many complaints lodged, and no action taken, these conductors are getting away with atrocities on passengers. They forget they are government bus conductors, and passengers are their source of income. Kindly who ever is in authority, do something about this.
