I am unable to get back my deposit as they have closed their outlet in Kolkata and are untraceable countrywide. They did not inform me of the closure....

I am seeing lot of complaints on this Cinema Paradiso. I am also the victim of this fraud. They charged me 3000 Rs in which 2000 Rs is refundable deposit. 2 Days before closing they called me to return the discs immediately as I am holding them more than 2 Days but never informed me about their intention of closing it.

I've been a patron of Cinema Paradiso (Bangalore, Koromangala branch) for the past 3 years . Couple of weeks ago, when I had gone to rent a movie, I found to my dismay that the branch had been closed. Originally I thought that the shop had relocated elsewhere, but to my dismay found that none of their telephone numbers worked - when I googled, came to know that all the branches have been closed. Cinema Paradiso started a branch in Kochi charging Rs. 3000/- membership fee sometime in 2007. They sent their members a notice informing their decision to close office and to claim refund by April 2009. When we approached the office, they informed us that the cheque would be issued from the head office in Chennai. I have called these guys numerous times, but they all pretend not to understand. And to this date, I havent yet received my refund....
