Cheating by GE money


I was provided loan by GE money by an agent who came to my home and offered me a loan of Rs. 75000 at the rate of interest which was told to me that it will cost you 18 to 20 percent only, however no paper of standard format was provided to me for signature only a blank signature was obtained by me on plain paper. I had no information about the terms and condition and rate of interest in writing. I have struggled lot to know about the terms and condition then, somebody their staff has told me to approach customer care after receiving the paper from customer care after five months it was surprise to me that they have already deducted approximately 4000 Rs as file charge and the rate of interest was indicated on the paper was 40.16 percent.

I approach again customer care that I want to return your complete money that time also he was still charging me Rs 66000 where as I have already paid to them Rs 32000 as an installment. It is something very much astonishing that my contribution was no where accounted first they have taken approximately Rs 4000 as a file charge (processing fees) which they have already deducted from my loan amount and now Rs 32000 contribution hardly they are valuing my money Rs 5000 and I am very much disturb by this institution who is draining my money so badly. When I given him legal notice, there advocates has written me papers that you have signed all the papers agreeing about 40.16 % which is totally baseless further he is threatening that if you move to the court the charges beard by the GE money that will be also charged from you so not to initiate any legal action. So I request you to settle my case amicably. I am ready to pay him back with genuine rate of interest, which is offered by that agent that is 18-20%. My loan account number is RNKV00007475

      i have your card no:, in the month of april GE money's executive called me for payment. i asked her if i pay the amount in single installment should i get any discount. she asked me to pay eleven thousand (rs. 11000) i payed the amount by cheque no: 444788 PNB Bank dated 16.04.08 which has been debited in my a/c on 21.04.2008. today i got your statement for rs. 1321.52. now tell me what should i do pay your amount. kindly revert back me with solution.

      i had visited your local office at gandhidham, kandla, gujarat, for which they have asked me

      to call on a Toll Free no :[protected], but i coundn't get connected.

      i have informed you good office that right now iam not in a position to pay the rest of the amount

      for the reason that i have lost the job in which i had been working since last 10 years.

      i had been stroked mentally & physically, thinking that how could bring up my two young school going

      kids for the reason i had asked your good office to move for a lumpsum settlement which is affordable for

      me, i had already given my sugestted amount to your branch at gandhidham.

      It is their fore requested that the matter may kindly be taken up immediately with the appropriate authority showing the above mentioned details & kindly give us a waiver for the same.
      Failing to such, we will be forced to take the matter with the highest level against arbitrary, unilateral and high handed methodology for creating mentally, physically &. Financially unfit.

        I too am facing a very embarrassing situation from GE. I took a personal loan due to a financial problem and I started paying the EMIs. Suddenly I started receiving phone calls from GE that one of my cheques has been bounced back, on the other hand, my bank statement clearly shows that the amount has been debited. I faxed and mailed them the statement but they even sent a guy to my home demanding money from my wife. I am going through great vexation and really want to know what is the way out. I really want to take the fight to these goons. How to reach consumer court in Mumbai and how difficult it is to file the complaint because I am an office goer too.

        why dnt u go to consumer court??? Why you paid such huge installments...???
        if gundatype person came to you why did nt u call police...
        you are the person who encouraging the financial institution to exploitate the innocent customer...
        first stop the payment... and go to consumer court...
        what will happen it is in the hand of future... but in present you should be aware not only for yourself but for the sake of nation...
        either move according to them and forget everything and dont write anything...or... just move and take decision according to actual...
        we, indian, dont want to be bother and not want to take responsibilty in our hand... We always try to find somebody come and help us... Why????
        We should be stand against the exploitation and it is sure if we right and have guts to take load of problems then other hands also come forward...
        but there should be one initiater... unfortuantely we all have a habit of being follower...
        companies are thinking the consumer are only the STUPID OBJECT...
        Yes!!! we all are just an OBJECT for them by which they can make money...
        Either be a SUBJECT and do whatever you can...

        but i have not got any statement of ge money regularly
        i want to know how much rupee i paid and which amount is remaining so
        I have taken a loan of rs. 1 lakh from ge money. by financial crises i m telling ur executive to please u try for my emi to be reduced . he is telling i wl do . at the end of the month I.e. on the 31st day he come to my shop & told me any how u have to pay 2 installments that r remaining. i told him that please ur executive told me i wl reduced ur emi by 50% that is upto rs. 2000 .u pay next month this much only so i make arrange of that much amount. but ur representive harrass me & told i want payment of rs. 8000 otherwise a warrent will be done for u u have to pay rs 8000 any how he sits at my shops for 2 hours. it was the last day of the month i cant get money from any where. so why they r doing like this we want to pay ur money. but for some time we r in trouble & told them to help us by decreasing emi amount they r telling us we wl do & at last date they come to our shop & doing harrasment. this is not so good. it is very bad thing they r telling very li. we wll pay but want some time or want to decrease emi amount. so please do the best & help ur customer. not all the days are equal for all. rate of interest is very high also & please told ur agencies not to harrassse people like this. it is very bad. next time we have to think about ge money
        I am making complain one after another but they are not ready to response. Should I go to Apex Court ?
        Otherwise no way. Thier loan amount is never ending. What is doing RBI ? There is no system to monitoring for fixing up the rate of interest. You also not able to help to litigant. I wrote erlier to you but done nothing.
        GE Money misbehave with law abiding citizens. I am going to complain to RBI very soon. They are also playing with me.I had taken an Auto loan and has repaid all installments in time. Only two cheques were bounced because of insufficient funds in my a/c. But they have shown 8-10 cheques and have levied Rs 6, 000 against my name and not issuing clearance certificate to remove hypotheciation. I am going to deal this very strongly. You have given me courage because I find others are also victims.

        GE MONEY & LOEWS FINANCIAL have been harassing me for the past several weeks attempting to collect a debt for an account holder with the same first and last name as mine, but is not me, nor my debt. First of all, I have never applied for a LOEWS credit card, nor have I ever owned one. I am not even a home owner, so not much home improvement going on at my place by me. I originally received a letter attempting to collect a debt in the amount of $935.00. I was surprised to receive the letter knowing I had never owned or applied for services through GE, or LOEWS. That day I ran my credit (and paid the credit site fees out of pocket) to see if someone had stolen my identity and was attempting to use my information to obtain services and credit. I was pleased to find that nothing was reporting to my credit from LOEWS or GE MONEY. I then called GE MONEY & LOEWS FINANCIAL at the number posted on the letter. I informed them that I didn't think they had the correct individual, and they asked to confirm my social security number. I gave them the last 4 digits, which DID NOT match the SS# they had in their collection records. I then asked to confirm the additional information on the account to see if they had my phone number, or address. According to the rep, they additional information did not match mine either. She stated that it appeared to be a mix up, and that they most likely found my information through "skip tracing" and that she would remove my info and note on the account what she had found. I then wrote what she had advised me to on the letter and returned it as instructed. She stated I SHOULDN'T be getting any more mail or communication regarding the matter. I felt like matters had been addressed accordingly and gave it no more thought, until...

        I received yet another letter, and another, and another in the same week. All four letters came after our conversation, so I assumed they were already in the mail, called GE MONEY to tell them that I was still getting mail and send the additional letters back as I did the first time exactly as they instructed me to. Again, the rep told me I shouldn't be getting any more letters, and that she had COMPLETELY removed my info from their system (which apparently didn't match what they had on record, that they magically denied having every time I called about the letters).

        So, the next week I was happy to see that no more letters came from GE MONEY or LOEWS FINANCIAL. However, at this time they started in with the harassing phone calls. So, I had finally gotten the letter issue handled and they started calling me instead. The issue I have here is that I gave them my phone information so they wouldn't call me, and then I started getting calls, so it was easy to assume that they had started using the information I gave them to continue to harass me for a debt that isn't even owed by me, or anyone I know. I nicely requested each time they called me that they review their notes on the account and that they kindly see that I stop getting these types of calls, and that it was getting pretty old after having received an average of 4 calls a day to my cell phone over the course of the week. Each time I got a new rep who called me, I told them the same thing, and was as polite as I could be (not my typical reaction to these mistakes, but I was trying to be nice). Each time I was assured that my information was out of their system, and that they have no record of me in it, and that I wouldn't be receiving any more calls to my cell phone. At that time, I was under the impression that things were handled and that I wouldn't be getting any more calls. Not so lucky...

        The next week, and weekend. I was again surprised (getting harder though since now nothing would surprise me from these people) to get another call, this time it was on my home phone, which I don't even give out or use for any reason. The other funny thing, is that my phone bill for my house isn't even in my name, it's in my roommates name. I was literally steaming as I was trying to spend Valentines Day with my sweetheart and during our movie, the damn COMCAST caller id kept popping up saying it's GE MONEY calling. Arggg. At this point I had had enough from these people, and felt like it was not borderline harassment anymore, but was now full-fledged harassment. I immediately phoned the number that was calling. I asked to speak with a supervisor, got a new person, asked to speak with their supervisor. When I finally got to the person who told me they were as high as I could go, I explained what was happening (basically everything I wrote above) and that I was not happy at this point about the way this matter was being dealt with. I then told the rep that if I got even ONE MORE call, period, that I was going to write reviews and pursue the harassment by any means necessary including via my State's Attorney General (Rob McKenna), the Better Business Bureau (BBB), the FTC and Online through review sites, blogs, forums, Twitter, Youtube, etc. and any other way I could find. She nicely listened to my rant and assured me that AGAIN, FOR THE TENTH TIME, that I WOULDN'T receive any more calls, either on my cell or at home. And that after 30 minutes I FOR SURE wouldn't be getting any more calls to any of my numbers. She also attempted to transfer me to the Fraud Dept. so that I could have them investigate the matter form their end. I am not sure why she suggested that, but figured any one I could get to remove my information on their end would be better than taking their word for it. So, during the transfer I got cut off, had to phone back and wait forever to get back where I was. Finally got through and turns out the Fraud Dept isn't even open on weekends. I decided to give them one more chance at this point and went on with my Valentines Day. Did not get any more calls thank heavens.

        First thing on Monday, I phoned the Fraud Dept. to follow up with what the rep and I had spoken about on Sunday. I got on with a very nice gal at the Fraud Dept. that was nice and seemed very helpful. She informed me that it wasn't Fraud, that it was a mix up due to the fact that they skip trace for information that may or may not match information they have on record for their accounts. She kept using the word skip trace. To me this whole scenario seemed weird. And had never had anything like that happen before in my 28 years. She also assured me that my info would be cleared on her end, and that I shouldn't be getting any more calls, unless they run another skip trace and end up with my information again. I told her that wasn't acceptable, and if they were going to use random information like that, that they needed to have a way of removing information that was deemed to be invalid for their actual account holder, that way, people like me wouldn't be getting harassed like I had been. She said she couldn't do anything and that she had removed my information and that I need not worry about calls.

        Less than 30 minutes later, on Monday I got another call from GE MONEY and LOEWS FINANCIAL on my cell phone. "Are you kidding me?" I asked. Needless to say, I was not nice to the last person, I told them that this call was the straw that broke it for me, and that I was going to follow through with my promise to report them, review them, and plaster my story all over the Internet. So, that's what I'm doing. I usually don't even write reviews online, nor do I have time to do such things. I just really feel like this is all wrong and that if I don't speak up it might continue to happen to me, and others out there.

        If you find yourself in a similar situation with GE MONEY and LOEWS FINANCIAL don't wait as long as I did to start speaking up. Seriously, I tried to be nice and it doesn't cut it with these collection people. If I were you, and had it to do over again, I would have reported it to my State's Attorney General, BBB, FTC and all over the Internet from the beginning. Take my work for it, the squeaky wheel tends to get the grease.

        GE Creditline, charging exorbitant fees on ATM withdrawal, eftpos and criminal interest rates. They market to (prey on) the already struggling financially population with easy credit and who then can never get out of paying off their credit card because they are charged $150 or over each month to cover all the fees they are charged for the month. Disgusting behaviour. They need to be stopped and have a Class A action on them like the other banks who aren't nearly as bad as GE credit.

          hii, i have been irate because of ge money from many months, first of all, i made a request of change of address over d phone atleast 5-6 times and then they updated it finally, so by the time i wasnt receiving any statements, still i kept payin an estimated minimum amount, then i made a lump sum payment of my whole bill less the late fees they charged which is actually due to their carelessness, they took the money from my account and still dint show it on the bill and kept sending me bills and smmses, which is highly irritating, and now they again charged me late fees ad over d limit fees, which is extremely ridiculous, and the worst thing is they arent removing all these charegs now.plzzz help me...

          GE money card — Regarding credit card

          I had given an offer of GE money card and I got the pin number of that card about 2 months ago, but I have not got the card yet.

          So, kindly the needfull at your earliest.
          I have taken loan on my 2 wheeler from GE Money and loan got expired six months back now when i asked for NOC from GE they say in may 2007 one of my cheque was bounced which i had paid cash immediately but i have to pay penalty for this i.e Rs.500/- and now plus late fees of 140 i.e. Rs.640/-. when i asked after nearly 9 months when i asked for NOC they are asking for this money and they never intimated for this that i have pay. it is just rudiculs
          i cant get my bills for last two months.please mail my bills.

          I was having finance from the co. for a two wheeler BAJAJ PULSAR (Registration No. CG/04-CR-8923) I have paid the amount till last paise, without any cheque bounce and also in a fix date I can also give you the detail of same like ( Bank Statement & etc.) but still they do not care to send the NOC. They are least bothered and I am confused what to do, as I am not able to contact any local office (as the office is withdrawn from city I suppose) and any local representative too my NOC is due on Dec 2008.I am waiting for the outcome.

            is this a joke that your company is coming out with wizard bank and offering rate of 9.99%.......your executive comes and collects all the documents.......10 days after he calls back and says that your file has been approved and the ROI is now 10.5%.........when we call up the executive he says f*** off and tell us do what ever you want he doesn't care...........the attitude of your comapany against the customer is vey clear..........


            i never expected this from GE money the company who beleives in Six sigma concept.............

            expecting reply from your side otherwise I will move to Banking Ombusman vrey soon.....

            I completely agree with Rachit. We took a loan to transfer the amount from ICICI. We also took a Top-Up loan on the existing one. The main loan has been taken care of, but the Top-Up Amount has not been disbursed to us. It has more than 3 months and the managerOther employees keep telling us, it will be done but nothing has been done so far.
