Credit Card Status

Poor customer care leading to charges more than 7k

Dear Sir,

Standard charted bank is providing Manhattan credit card with first year free on trial basis and there after with an annual charge of Rs1000. At the time of application bank executives confirms that customer care will call the customer before continuing the card after the trial period and if your credit card usage is good the same will be waived off. You will not see these conditions on any application form.

I had applied for manhattan card as they said it will be free for lifetime.
After one year o[censored]se, they mentioned in the card statement Rs.1000 as service fee for the second year.

CEP cancellation

I am having a Manhattan Credit Card ending with 4552. i've opted for Card Enhancement Pack (CEP) Insurance which is worth of 4000/-. Once i received the CEP and looks to me it was not of much useful to me . so, i've gone through the CEP cancellation policy and it says that if cancellated with in 7 days no charges applicable. so i've cancelled the CEP with in a day itself. But the Manhattan deducted 25% and 75% was refunded....

unrealistic Late fees

I was having a credit card from manhattan bank. I did a transaction of Rs 130.00 in 2006.
which I repaid on Time inspite of not gettiong the statement. but they charged me a fine of Rs 350.00 which I refused them to pay and asked them to reverse it. They did not. credit card dues

I had a Manhattan Credit card issue to me a long time ago. I had made a transaction of Rs 940 in October 2007 and in April 2008, i have got first call regarding the same amount's non payment.

I have never been sent any Statement copy, other than email. The requests have fallen on deaf ears and there is no record of my calls, as per your bank.
