Hi

I had a booking on 3rd Dec from Bangalore to Chennai. We received the call from olivea team that the board cancelled due to some reason just 2 hours before.

As per discussion olivea team said that the full amount will be refunded as it was canceled by traveller.
Despite of number mails and calls no response from their end.

    Dear Sir
    We it was a pleasure to travel with you on the 12/02/2013 from Bangalore to Hyderabad on Olivea, But to our surprise the Journey was not all good as expected as seen on your Website & YouTube. We would kindly request you to look into the following at your earliest if you would like to carry the name Travel Redefined for the fare you are charging. Hope this is not carried out in the future to Tarnish your Brand and Services across the Country by calling in the Media to carry out a surprise check.
    1. Cleanliness of the Bus from Inside and Outside was not at all clean
    2. Whole bus smelt o[censored]rine along with the A/C, Toilet was not clean and the
    Food was placed near the Toilet door on the floor.
    3. Food was not served properly for midnight Travel, only Snacks were served
    Which were not eatable at all? (Kindly Mention on Ticket if your serving a
    Dinner Meal or Snacks.)
    4. The Blankets were smelling, TV as mentioned was not functioning.
    5. Bus was delayed from your Bangalore office for almost one hour since
    Dinner did not arrive on time, for which some snacks of another short
    Distance bus was loaded for a long Journey of 8.00hrs. This was served
    6. The Lounge was not kept Clean and Tidy in Bangalore but like any another
    Local Bus Office in Bangalore.
    7. Attender as shown on TV was like an ordinary Cleaner on the Bus serving
    Food to Beggars and not Passengers
    8. Rough travel with huge rear engine sound and driver gave a sudden brake
    All passengers were shaken like we thought it was an accident.

    9. The Bus halted for a long time and we found the Front Windshield was
    Cracked.
    10. The Arrival at Hyderabad was in one corner of the City were you do not get
    Any means of transport but to be dependent on some Auto Rickshaws who
    Have a tie up with your staff to charge more.

      Here is the horrible story of my experience with Olivea.

      I booked my ticket in advance to travel from Coimbatore To Bangalore (7th June, PNR No: 00ORFF) consider huge LIST of Facilities provided by Olivea my wife's exam is there in Bangalore and she need to site and can study even when we are travelling. So we what I faced compare to what Olivea claims:

      1. OLIVEA CLAIMS: Enough Room For Luxury with 2+1 seating system
      ACTUAL: Dirty + Loose sections + Loose Nuts making terrible noise + Loose Front board to keep stuff + Reading Lights NOT WORKING + LCD headphones NOT WORKING + Charging Points NOT WORKING. "To be specific good for nothing"

      2. OLIVEA CLAIMS: 165 Reclining Seats with Calf and Lumber Support
      ACTUAL: Dirty blankets can never let you take rest + Loose Front board was on my foot every now and then.

      3. OLIVEA CLAIMS: Gourmet Meals On-Board
      ACTUAL: First of all they made us waiting in bus for about 20+ mins to get things packed from KCF and served chilled meals after 3 hours. We happily used at one service i.e. dustbin.

      4. OLIVEA CLAIMS: Wi-fi Connectivity On-board
      ACTUAL: I got the same answer over and over again for Power Point, Lights etc. Sorry Sir, it's under repair.

      5. OLIVEA CLAIMS: Individual 10" Plasma ,,,,,,blaa blaa blaah
      Actual: My luck plasma was working fine but silently, your team changed headphones thrice but turned out list of issues which can not be resolved and asked me to opt for any vacant seat and that I realize there is something or else wrong with near seat that means management is well aware of issues and not taking any steps and CHARGING EXTREMELY HIGH MONEY by fake commitments. SHAME ON YOU.

      6. OLIVEA CLAIMS: Restroom on-board
      Actual: This one is really interesting. When I asked "can you please help me to open door of restroom, Crew answered "Sure Sir, you can use it now but water motor is under repair". Can you Olivea management beat this statement.

      If you can count all the claims you have made are WRONG, WHAT ARE YOU CHARGING FOR THEN THAT TOOO REALLY HIGH.

      This is an email to the management of Olivea about grieving experience that I, and my colleagues had while travelling from Chennai to Bangalore. This mail should be considered as a strong feedback from a female who was left stranded on the road for hours, because the bus broke down. It is shocking to understand that there was no back-up planned in case of exigencies.

      I would like to highlight the series of incidents that proved to be extremely awful and disappointing that compels me to not travel in Olivea buses ever in future.

      To begin with, the bus was scheduled to depart at 7 pm from Radha Regent, Arunbakkam, while it was delayed by 1.5 hours and started at 8:30 pm. Then, at around 11:30 PM, we woke up to realize that the bus had a technical break-down. As if this was not enough, we understood from the driver that we had covered only 140 kms in 3 hrs, while this distance should have been at least 250 kms. even if it was driven at a reasonable speed. The bus had only one female passenger and it was extremely uncomfortable for me to stand on the road, stranded, for 3 hours. We kept asking for back-up and one answer we got from the driver was that he was connecting with the office management. I wonder why the back-up plan was not prepared for this trip. After rigorous follow-up with the driver and talking to the office manager, we got to know that they WILL be sending a bus for our rescue. This continued for at least 3 hours. While ten passengers went via a public vehicle, we had to wait for the bus that was supposedly on its way. Also, we were told that there were 4 seats available in the back-up bus. However, finally when the bus came, we were shocked to see that there was only one seat available. One of my colleagues had to sit on the seat alongside the driver, the other had to accommodate himself on the steward seat with no blanket, pillow; an extremely uncomfortable affair. The worst was that the fourth colleague of mine had to sleep on the floor in the aisle area, which is unimaginable and just proves that there is no sense of customer centricity in the organization.

      It was the most terrible trip I have ever had in my life and forces me to never plan a trip with Olivea ever in my life again. TERRIFYING !

      Moreover, points mentioned by Tarun are wholly correct. Stinking toilets with no water, broken seats, Plasma TV not working (with broken headsets & remotes), 3 to 4 flop hollywood movies, 3 to 4 hall recorded bollywood movies, no Wi Fi, pathetic food that's too only veg, dirty & unhigenic blankets & pillows.

      Overall, when we communicated with the Stewart of the bus, we got to know they are not paid since 3 to 4 months. What can we expect more from this agency?

      Request you all to don't go through the pictures shown in the website and never opt for Olivea.
      Olivea is one of the worst buses that I have ever travelled in. I had the ill fortune of travelling in one of their buses from Chennai to Bangalore. The AC was not working during the travel and since the bus was completely sealed in and we were not getting any fresh air. On top of all this, the heat from the engine was blowing hot air inside the bus and so all o[censored]s were getting boiled inside. Me and my companion had a very very horrbile ride during those 6 hours. The staff then informed us that the bus was under repair. My whole point is, if the bus is under repair, why the hell are they taking 2000 rupees from us and making us travel in those inhuman conditions.

      After disembarking, I had a word with the employees in the Bangalore office, and they asked me to get in touch with one Mr. Arjun. I spoke to him on the phone and he then asked me to send him a mail to start the refund process. Its been a year and a half now. In spite of all my mails and phone calls, the last information that I got from them was that their management is still considering the request (This was told to me 6 months after that horrible journey). And now, even the phone number that was given to me is not reachable and I recieve no replies to my emails.

      I have given up on these people and just want to let the public know about Olivea travels. It is all a gimmick. Their bus service is horrible and my sincere advice to you is to consider other travels as they at least have the decency to respond to customers. Olivea travels deserves to be shut down as I have heard similar complaints from others and I believe the authorities should look into this matter seriously. All they have is a wonderful gimmick and absolutely no substance. Its a humble request to everyone to never opt for Olivea ever!!!
