Discount offered on using Amex cards doesn't work in outlets in mumbai. Have tried using the card on 3 different occasions at 3 different outlets where each cashier gives some weird reason, for not giving discount, like: system not working, this offer is valid at lounge outlets only, offer valid only if you buy worth 500/- (whereas it on more than 300/-) etc. Yesterday the reason was that 'since its a chip based card my system doesn't recognise it & there is nothing i can do about it. There is no 1 i can check with.' Sometimes wonder why would Amex even tie up CCD???
