Central Board Of Secondary Education [CBSE] — Complaint regarding Class X Results [New Method]

My son was scoring A1 [more than 95%] in all subjects since his LKG classes and that continued till his 9th standard. We were expecting full A1 for him in his Xth as well, as his scores were good enough in internal exams conducted by the School. Despite this, he got A2 in his second language, in which he was securing 95% till 9th. Based on the marks he scored that was given by the School, he has got 98.25 [as per CBSE criteria] and we were pretty sure that he will fetch A1 in that subject too. To much of our agony, when the results came in, he got only A2 in that subject, and A1 in all other subjects with an overall 96%. When we checked with the School, we came to know that CBSE perhaps considers the statistics of the previous performance of the School in that particular subject. This is highly disappointing and painful for a hard-working student, as he is supposed to bear the brunt of historical background of the School. Xth class marksheet is the first public exam document that is being kept by any person, and this method of evaluation would cause to remain as a perpetual sorrow in such a student’s mind.
We came to know that the so many other studious students are also facing the same situation. My son is undergoing sever stress & depression because of this reason.
So kindly do the needful to boost the morale of such students by upgrading their grades to the next level, at least for one subject, as CBSE was doing previously, as they sincerely deserve it.
Please remember we have no option to cross check the derivation of marks that is shown in the Mark Sheet.

Thanks & Regards
Concerned Mother
