My account has been blocked with no access. My direct deposit payroll check goes to this account. I spoke to a rep on 7/14 to find out what was going on. They referred me to the fraud team. When I spoke to the rep from the fraud team, he told me my account is being referred for closure and said he can tell me anything. He hung up in my face while I was asking questions. Called back the next day, 7/15 to see what was going on and asked what is going to happen to my payroll check. The 2nd rep said there will be no transactions posted to my account and the payroll check will be returned to my employer. I said ok and contacted my payroll department. I have had my payroll team running reports and looking for the return. Well, I checked back on 7/19, and Citibank has posted the payroll ACH to the blocked account. I have no access. When I speak to anyone all they say is the account is being closed and I will be disconnecting the call now. I don't understand how they can operate like that. This is my livelihood. I have no food, no gas, and the 2nd part of my rent payment was coming from this check. My landlord will file eviction on me and I need answers and I need my money to survive for the next week.
