I'm an American and I applied for a tourist visa to India. The CKGS website, the official government site for visa requests, advertises many kinds of visas. They are running a scam. The scam is this: they want you to request the most expensive, longest duration visa, but they will find something wrong with your application and deny you your request, but take your money anyway. If they finally give you one, it will be a visa for a very short period, but they will not refund you the difference between the one you requested and, the one you got. The website is fraudulent. They should not even advertise visas that they are not giving to begin with. I have lost all desire to travel to India. The only people who will suffer is the Indian tourism industry. The CKGS online and help desk in India is useless. They're just there for a job, no one will help you or even bother reading your complaint. They want you to go thru the motions so they can take your money. Was this information helpful? |
