Cleartrip — double payment and wrong communication | |||||
I have been charged for one single booking twice, first I booked my ticket from Cleartrip, later on the airport during the travel i have been humiliated by AIR INDIA staff stating my ticket is not valid due to NO SHOW, The booking AIR INDIA staff has refereed as NO SHOW was cancelled by me for which i have the cancellation confirmation as well. When i contacted Cleartrip and asked them why i have to pay double i have been informed that i was intimated for the cancellation, where the email clearly stated the cancellation of To ticket not return ticket. Its a clear case of wrong communication and compliance by AIR INDIA and Clear trip, i become the victim of there fault as- I have voluntarily cancelled my To ticket dated 15th November 2018. No communication by AIR INDIA or cleartrip regarding the entire trip cancellation. CLEARTRIP ID[protected] Events Date Time Issue Initial Ticket Booked (Round Trip) 11/11/2018 12:38 PM To Trip Cancelled Reason for cancellation- Wrong date booking for departure to delhi from dubai Cancellation for departure trip only 11/11/2018 12:55 PM Cancellation confirmation received; Immediately cancelled the departure ticket and booked the new ticket from the cleartrip only to delhi with trip ID[protected] Refund denial receipt 12/11/2018 1:27 AM Refund for the trip was denied stating the following reason- We regret to inform you that since the above mentioned booking is cancelled out of sequence, we are unable to process a refund due to the airline’s policy. Please find the email attached Return ticket date 18/11/2018 6:30 PM The most unfortunate event which can happen to any person with full planned trip- Reached Airport and during the check-In- AIR INDIA staff informed me to purchase a new ticket as I didn’t showed up for my 15 Nov booking thus my return trip gets automatically cancelled. Booked train Madurai Jn to Nager Coil - train #22627- Feb 16th.
Then referred onto IRCTC site where I was charged my registration fee -also processed.
Never got a referral # or confirmation number making it impossible to navigate your system.
Please advise
